George Carlin talking about having too much stuff..... I'm always trying to get my DH to down size and clear out stuff we no longer need or want but so far it's a no go. This clip just reminds me of this problem.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MvgN5gCuLac |
Funny clip. I've got lots of stuff and then some more stuff, too. On top of that I have extra stuff. Now I have way too much stuff. Yesterday I saw a story about a woman who has downsized from a 2000 to 84 square foot house. Where does she put all her extra stuff? She said that was the hardest part about changing her lifestyle - getting rid of her extra stuff. I don't think I could stand to be without my stuff - or keep from going crazy in a place that tiny. I think I'd get claustrophobic. And what good is living when you don't have all your favorite stuff all around you when you are inside and relaxing? |
This is one of my very favorite routines from my favorite comedian, George Carlin. I also have the cassette of this routine, and I laugh myself into hysteria watching George do his skits! |
:D I never saw that one before, so great and so true:D My husband had everything and every neighbor knew they need not buy since they could borrow from him:eek: It was neat, I must admit but what does one do with one airplane wheel.:lol tears |
I sent the link to my DD she thought is was so funny!....My DH is the worst with his "stuff". We seem to have a difference of opinion on what is "necessary" and what is "hoarding". He actually has 4 picnic tables, 4 utility trailers and three grills. Really??? If I even try to get him to part with any of it I'd swear I see him tear up.... But don't even think about touching my stuff. ;) |
LOL, I looooveedd George Carlin. This was a great bit. |
