I love organic coconut oil and use it a lot on my skin. Love the non-food uses suggested in one of your links. I'm going to try some of those. My dad has developed thin skin in old age and is prone to scratches and scrapes. I've convinced him to use coconut oil instead of neosporin (which I don't want the dogs licking either). His minor wounds heal really fast with no scarring now. |

I bought a jar of Coco Therapy Coconut Oil for Halo, but I use it too. Put a small amount in your hand, let it melt and Halo licks it out of my hand. (Smells like an Almond Joy but tastes like coconut) It's really good for dogs. No trans fat. I also use it on my skin & hair as well as her coat. I rub it in my hand (just a little bit) and then her coat after a bath. Her coat is very silky and shiny. It's also good for hot spots, itchy skin, paws & speeds healing. Buy the organic virgin, great stuff !! :) |

I'm especially interested in oil pulling for dental health which was mentioned in the other thread. I'm hearing more about it on tv, Dr. Oz and such. |

I started taking a teaspoon of coconut oil in my morning coffee, nothing major, just let it melt into it and drink it that way. That was about 4-5 weeks ago. I have mild cystic acne Ive been fighting since I hit 30 years old. Its gone. Well just about. My skin looks amazing (for me)! When I went out to see my mom in New Mexico just 2 weeks ago she was amazed at the difference in my skin from when she was here in Jan and now and I had only been on the coconut oil for 3 weeks when I went out there!
