!!!50 Lions Facing Starvation In Crimean Safari Park!!! How horrible!!! Over 50 lions are facing starving to death because the managers of a safari park have been cut off from their Ukrainian bank account due to economic restrictions placed on the bank due to the Ukrainian-Russian conflict, with only enough meat left to feed the lions for a few days!!! Here is a link to the story: Fifty Lions Face Starvation at Crimean Safari Park - ABC News Those poor things. Each lion and tiger eats so much meat every day, I doubt the citizens of that city will be able to feed them from their own contributions. Also, the story says there are many other animals at the park, who likely are in some sort of food crisis themselves - or soon will be. I wonder if they will be able to have other zoos ship the animals in danger out to try to rescue them or what? I pray they don't have to euthanize them to keep them from starving to death! What a tragedy in the making! |
Over the years I seen situations like this, many countries have pitched in and made room in their parks / zoo's. I am sure if you follow that story you will see this, or donations offered, most likely other parks /zoo's will take them. So sad. I pray they are saved. |

I don't think that will happen, countries step up in situations like this. I have seen this twice before, The animals get distributed, countries get together offer which animals they have room for. You'll see, all those animals will get placed. Yes it is horrific that these animals have to be caged, and cannot run free. To many pouches, kill for $. Look at what they do to they Rino's, Kill mothers with a baby, just to take the horn, Rino babies die, so 2 are killed not one. Animals in the wild are becoming endangered, that's why we have zoo's. So the children of the future can see animals that once were, but are no more. All because of man kind, population grows, more land is needed, displacing animals. Then you have the poachers!!!!Where does it end? Look at Global warming, what that's doing to the polar bear population. Now polar bears are raiding towns and homes for food.....Whales!!!! I am sure you watch Animal Plant and the war on Asian countries to stop killing of the whales....Iyiyi, ya had to get me started lol....If you follow the story of 50 Lions Facing Starvation In Crimean Safari Park!!! you will see, they will be placed in other park's / zoo's. They will not have freedom, but they will have food. |

Oh my gosh, I sure hope this story gets enough int'l attention to motivate some organizations to help quickly. There is no way these precious animals should starve to death. :( |
Hug lil Tibbe a little tighter tonight for all the dogs that have no homes. After I had to put my lil 16 y/o girl down this past Oct. I signed up to volunteer at our new no kill shelter, I knew it would be hard for me to be with these poor babies, you could truly see the pain in their eyes, once loved, now caged with no family. Shortly after volunteering my vet called me about a 2 y/o male yorkie that just came in as a surrender, although I vowed NO MORE DOGS, well, lil Cody is with me now 5 months. I cannot tell you how many times a day I pick him up, hug and kiss him, and feel so blessed to have my first lil boy in my life. He came to me very spoiled and I love it. I had to give up volunteering, Cody needs / demands my attention lol, so life is all about lil Cody boy. Feel blessed that you have your lil Tibbe, and have the love and means to give him a healthy and happy life. |
