Air Purifier-Need Suggestions I am in the market for a good air purifier that won't break the bank. Would love one that is not noisy. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks! |
We use a Honeywell Hepa, but it is noisy. That is the primary reason we use it, to cover up street noise when we sleep. We got addicted to the noise when we lived in Chicago, where we were subjected to a lot of jet/truck pollution. A sort of low cost option depending on what kind of heating/cooling you have in your house, is to buy special air filters for your furnace/ac and run the fan continuously. Change the filters frequently. |
I'll be looking @ this thread w/much interest, as we need a new air purifier. Currently, we have the Sharper Image tower style, got it a long time ago. Don't even know if they have that model anymore, but it's very quiet. No filters, just clean the grid w/water. |
I've heard good things about the Honeywell Hepa purifiers. Does anyone else have any suggestions? |
I have dust allergy and purchased honeywell true hepa tower, and it helped me with my allergy.:) The key is to leave it on as long as possible(start with high to mid then leave it on at low setting) However, it is indeed bit noisy... |
