Anyone shop at ULTA?
 
I have $50 in rewards to spend there and I have no idea what to get! I would like to get something kinda fun like a nice eye shadow palette but I'm incredibly indecisive when it comes to things like this...I don't want to end up just buying something practical like shampoo, body wash, or cotton balls with my rewards lol. I'd been eyeing some of the Urban Decay stuff and have thought about trying different skincare products (they have some pretty nice lines there) but I'm open to checking out anything...any suggestions are appreciated!

I love ULTA and I loooove Urban Decay! They have some of the best eyeshadow...and they're animal-friendly!!

I would definitely get a couple of eyeshadows and a new eyeshadow primer. Mine is almost gone. :p

LOL! I'm with you, I'm indecisive and lean towards practical purchases. My mom gave me a gift card for ULTA for Christmas and I'm terribly unsure as to how to spend it! Maybe in the salon...

I love Ulta! Im so happy that they just built a new store right by my work! The last time I was there I was too looking for something different to use for face powder other than the Sheer cover I use now. I picked up a Smashbox sample and absolutely love there face primer and BB cream.

I like mineral powder but hate the loose kind, it's so messy, I bought a really nice compact of pressed mineral powder from there, I love it, it was about $20.00 which is more than I like to spend on makeup but I really wound up liking it. the good thing is the gals will show everything to you and try differnt colors on you before you have to buy it

I bought this Chi flat iron and the matching hair dryer back in November maybe...the pattern and finish look a lot prettier in person...I think they were both on sale for under $100 and I had a 30% off coupon (actually I had 2 of those coupons and went to 2 different ULTAs in the same day...you can see how I racked up these reward points LOL)...I absolutely LOVE them.

I think I want the NAKED palette...either 2 or 3. I bought the original palette but it kinda had a crap case (it's like cardboard covered in velvet or something) and got ruined when we had a leak under my bathroom sink. The newer ones seem much better. Which eye shadows from UD do you have? I don't mind shimmer but I can't do the chunky glitter at school or the hospital or just in general lol.

My all time favorite makeup is Nars and Benefit. LOVE those brands..use almost exclusively those brands.

I got Naked 2 for Christmas 2 yrs ago and used it every single day. I prefer the matte shadows over the sparkly ones though. I want naked 3 but i'm really on the fence about lots of the colors.

I had the Nars Laguna bronzer and it lasted me FOREVER! I accidentally dropped it one day and it shattered all over the floor...I thought I was going to cry lol. *sigh* girl I had a huge post full of my crazy nars raves but it disappeared on me! LOL. so real quickly...my favorites:

1. Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer: LOVE LOVE this stuff, i stopped wearing foundation completely and just use this under/around my eyes and on a couple tiny acne scars, and im good to go.

2. nars blush in sin, its a darker and no-shimmer version of their really famous Orgasm blush.

3. nars turkish delight lipgloss: so smooth, perf color, not stick

4 nars laguna bronzed, waaay less orangey on me than hoola.

5. benefit porefessional: i have some large pores on my cheeks as a result of old acne scars but this makes them completely vanish and its not oily.

6. benefit highbeam: beautiful on cheekbones and immer eye corner

7. also everyone raves about the urban decay primers but I prefer benefit's stay don't stray.

8. I do love urban decay's de-slick setting spray. keeps everything matte and not oily.

My cousin just brought over her naked pallets 2 and 3 and compared it to my original. The original and the 2 are practically identical. Go for the 3 if you still have the original naked palette.

I like the Urban Decay eyeliner at Ulta. It is amazing how smooth it goes on.

I have never shopped at ULTA but will look into it.

Do you like the CHI hair dryer? I have heard they had some problems on the past.

Eh...It's okay...there's only like 2 speed settings and 2 temperature settings. It gets the job done but I'm not in love with it...I don't think I will buy another Chi dryer when this one runs its course. I mostly got it because there was a matching flat iron that I wanted and I happened to need a hair dryer at that same time and I had the coupon.

Have you tried any good BB/CC creams that you'd recommend? Most of the American ones I've tried are more like tinted moisturizers...my mom has a friend that sends a few different BB creams to us from Korea but I would love to find a really good one that I could buy here that has good coverage.

I've used the L'oreal BB Cream and it's not bad...but it's a little more on the slick side, so it may not be good for oily skins, but def worth a try.

The IT Cosmetics I've been trying right now...used about 3x and I admit, it's amazing. It's not cheap, but you actually use only one small pump per application, so it's going to last a loooong time. This is a big beauty guru and you should listen to her video review of it, she pretty much tries everything on the market: TiffanyD: The BEST BB/CC Cream EVER?

I have a chi dryer.....I really am not that impressed. I love the chi flat iron, but they only last a year or so it seams.

My bro's girlfriend always has the prettiest eye shadow, I asked her what it was and it's MAC. Its very expensive, but looks soooo nice and stays on really nicely. It would be a fun splurge I think! :)
I love this product by Estee Lauder called Idealist. Its skin illuminator, it brightens up your whole face instantly. Its pricey though, but looks so nice on!
