The PetSmart Experience So, after I went to PetSmart (yet again) on Saturday, I realized I have a very predictable pattern to my visits. I almost always spend exactly TWICE as much money as I had budgeted in my head before I walked into the store. This is due to my uncontrollable impulse buying habits. And, every single time I go, my visit is ended with this scene: *Me walking down the middle aisle towards the front check out saying, "I have GOT to get out of here." The problem here is this - Knowing that I spend twice as much as I expected, do I go in automatically doubling that number so I really spend what I know I will? You see, if I do THAT, then won't I just end up doubling THAT amount and really be in trouble?:rolleyes::D |
Hmmm....I would just take a specific amount of cash and when it's gone, your done! Of course you could always go back for more the next day to spoil you little one! |
Hehe...that's a great idea!! |
You're not alone. I get into trouble at Petsmart too. |
I get in trouble shopping on line lol. He is gathering a large collection of Buddy belts |
Or.. you can do the opposite. Cut the budget in half of what you originally had. So if you end up doubling that, you'll be right on budget! How about getting yourself a gift card? That way, you can't spend more than what's on the card. |
Well, I obviously need to do something because I went there on Christmas eve and they had all their toys and stuff on sale. I thought I had it added as I went...added in my head here and there (didn't do real calculations). And, yup..got to checkout and it was double what I thought it was going to be. LOL! |
I have a similar issue with fishing equipment... LOL |
I sent a toy gift to my Son and DIL for their new little rescue and PetSmart sent it to the billing address rather than them. They are resending the package. Well I guess Django doesn't know Christmas from New Years.:D |
