How to keep furniture from sliding? We have hard wood floors at the new house. It annoys me that we fix the couch in the morning, and by the end of the day, it has moved a good 4 feet out of place. What can I do to keep the furniture from sliding around? |
There are rubber pads you can put on the legs that will keep it from sliding. I was in a pinch one time and used that nubby rubber shelf liner and it worked pretty good, but the kind your buy work better. |

We had that issue with our bed even with the wheels locked so we just ended up putting an area rug under it. Might be a good solution to your problem. They can be expensive but they do add some charm and can bring a room together with coordinating colors. |
The boys are against getting any carpets. :( |
I just re-did my sun room and got white wicker furniture....it slides all over the sun room!! I went to Ace and got white rubber things you slide onto the legs.....the legs on all these pieces are like 2 inche round pegs....these rubber things slipped right onto those legs....I just needed to get them for the legs on the back corners.....cant even see them as they are at the back, down the walls....works like a charm and it was a cheap fix! |
Sit down and don't get up???? Lol Or better yet, take a nap. |

We had all wood floors at the last house and putting rubber under each corner stopped any sliding for us too. |
