Happy Day I got one of the greatest Christmas gifts a person could get. On the 23rd of October my GP found something questionable in my blood work and sent me to the Cooper Cancer Center in Akron to have blood work done that only they can do. I was able to get in the beginning of November and the Dr. ordered a series of many tests.....they were all back and I was called to come in December 10th so after part of October, all of November, and 10 days in December, I found out I do not have cancer. I was at peace with the idea if I had, I'm 81 with excellent health so geeez, one has to die from something but it is nice to have some time to spend with the new darling babies born in our family.:) Though all of this a dear friend has been going through surgery after surgery and now has a staff infection so we have to get him through this and a Merry Christmas will be complete. If you could remember him in your prayers it would be appreciated. Kindest Regards, Joan |
ooops meant staph infection. |
Thank goodness you didn't have cancer! That is all I can say. Even though you said you were at peace with it if you did, you must be relieved. I am for you. Cancer sucks. Prayers going out to your friend for a speedy recovery. |
Prayers for you friend! Doing the happy Snoopy dance that you ducked the "Big C". Blessings Re all around. Have a merry Christmas and great New Year:D |
Merry Christmas and thanks to you both! |
Joan, I am so happy that you are clear of cancer. I had no idea you were going through this scare; it must have been very stressful waiting for results. Merry Christmas indeed, and I wish you a Happy Healthy New Year too. Keep enjoying life, the new babies, and all that is in store for you. |
Joan, I am so very happy to hear of your great news ! What a wonderful early Christmas present, and the best kind too. Hope you enjoy your healthy holiday - and CHEERS to your continued good health! |
MauiGirl and Ann thank you so much. My friend had a good day today and that is encouraging as well. Merry Christmas to you all, you are the best. |
I am so thankful about your good news! What a long wait to finally find out. My Grandma used to say, "If you've got your health, you've got everything." I think she was right! Hugs to you and prayers for your friend! |
Joan, I am so happy to hear your good news! That must have been terrifying waiting so long to get the results. You sound like a very strong lady. Sending prayers to your friend. Hugs to you and thanks to God. |
Oh Joan...I had no idea. What a relief it must be to get good news, especially after waiting so, so long. I pray for your continued good health and improved health for your dear friend. Merry Christmas to you and yours and a blessed New Year. |
Thank you Connie and Doodlebug, I hope it's not too cold out where you are so you can get out to finish your holiday shopping trips that never seem to have an end to them. It's 13 degrees here and 11 in Medina where I have to go today for lunch Christmas get together. Mine that never ends is 5 more Christmas cards. |
