I need help finding clothes for my great grandmom My great grandmom wants 2 button up shirts and 2 elastic waist, mid calf skirts for Christmas. She needs regular sizes, but loose fitting. I don't want to spend much more than $20 per item. I've looked at Sears, Kmart, and Walmart online, they didn't have anything. Any suggestions? |
I know they are really advertising the great sale prices on great items, at consignment stores and those other places that take in gently worn clothes, some from fabulous designers, and turn around and resell them for pennies on the dollar! Try looking at those type of shops and boutiques.....good luck with your search! |

Ebay? Worth a look. I use to sell clothes on eBay and know sometimes you can get good deals if you have the eye for it. Just a suggestion. |
Kohls , CJ Banks, Macys or New York & Company cater to older women. Shop Clearance !! |
Macy's is the bomb, always have good sales. You can find very nice clothes there and the prices are amazing! I get most of my clothing from there. |
Thanks everyone, I tried a few stores yesterday and didn't find anything. I hate clothes shopping for myself and doing it for someone else is even worse. Quote:

Do you have a sewing machine, the skirt would be very easy to make, beings she prefers elastic waist. Burlington Coat has a lot, haven't been in ours in ages, but my daughter loves to shop there. |
Whether you shop on line or go to brick and mortar store, you are going to have to find out what size you are needing!!!!!!!! jcpenney had a great clearance sale on skirts of all lengths and materials and designs.....I suspect jcpenney is going to be going out of business before tooooo much longer....their stock is lower than a snake in a wheel rut. Be watching for that after the first of the year..... |
I don't know the size because she lost weight and hadn't bought new bottoms in awhile, she's been wearing dresses. The plan is to eyeball it and return/exchange if it doesn't fit. Sizes don't mean anything anyway, I have shirts ranging from m-xxl and they all fit similarly. My mom and I have been thinking Penneys was going out of business since they changed. We used to shop there all the time, now we rarely do. |
