Animal Laws Or The Lack of Them In States! I received this email from another group I am involved with and it is very interesting. I know many of you cry out on the puppy mill situation along with animal abuse but none of this will change unless we get the laws changed. I found it especially concerning that Arizona is only 1 of 6 states that has a animal law section. Happy New Year! We are excited to share with you that the December issue of Arizona Attorney magazine features a 14-page cover story on the Animal Law Section of the State Bar, a specialty section co-founded and chaired by ADLA's board president Stephanie Nichols-Young. This evolving area of law is important to those of us who care about animals. Arizona is only one of six states that have animal law sections as part of their state bar associations. The mission of the Animal Law Section is to promote the study and understanding of laws, regulations, and court decisions involving animals.      I SO AGREE !! Our country has a LONG way to go to protect our animals - abuse and neglect is rampant and no one does ENOUGH to make the laws stricter and punish those who break them - the laws need to change BIG TIME in our country - good for Arizona ...that's a shame out of all the states.... only 6 are actually trying to improve things |
