I find Carol's character very interesting. In the first season, she played a battered woman victimized by husband, and then she lost her daughter Sophia, and it took many weeks to find her only to learn that she had become a zombie. That's got do something bad to your psyche. :p I think she saw Rick fall apart and become too indecisive, and she just decided she's tired of all the democracy and she's taking matters into her own hands. Teaching the children to defend themselves without getting their parents permission and then killing and burning the flu victims seems worlds apart from the earlier Carol, but if anything she's a survivor and has learned to adapt and cope.
That herd of zombies was terrifying and yes, I think we'll definitely see the Governor again. I want them to dig a giant pit and put a noise maker in the center and just have all the zombies fall in the pit. On a side note, what happens to zombies in the North, do they freeze during the winter and thaw in spring? | Totally agree on Carol - I think she's one of the most fascinating characters on the show bc she is SO strong, but is also quite fragile and complex. She feels things deeply during a time when a lot of feelings just need to stuffed due to circumstances. Above all, she's a survivor and was one loooong before the zombies showed up.
I also find myself utterly fascinated by Carl - I love how they deal with his character. They don't get too inside his head, even though very complicated things are happening there. Which makes sense bc in real life, we often can't get inside a child's head either bc kids can't articulate what's really occurring on the inside. Carl's role is so perfectly cast too, the actor is spot on.
LMBO, good question :D!! They must freeze but since they don't ever die, they must dethaw come spring! So in that case, the crew needs to go North for a winter vacation from the zombies :p. Like snowbirds, but in reverse. |
