Dallas Members Just some questions. A prof and I are looking into attending a conference at Baylor. I'm broke, so it will probably be a no go, but.. The recommended hotel (Marriot City Center?) sold out of special rate rooms. Now they want $250/night. Any nice hotels close to the school on the DART route? A lot of them get fairly low ratings. And is the DART system as confusing as it looks? lol Given the choice, which airport is better; Love or DFW? |

Darts trains are easy to use. The "lines" are color coded, and while some overlap, there are signs at each station, and its easy to understand. You should know however that a lot of times, some of the people riding the dart trains are homeless. They will ask you for money. People at the stations will ask you for money and the most often used excuse is "to get a ticket to get home/to the hospital/to work, etc. don't give them money because they won't buy a ticket with it. I can't help with the hotels, but I know the Sheraton is close, here's also a homewood suites and a spring hill suites not too far. You should be able to google hotels near Baylor university and also the dart rail lines (green is what you'll want) and compare. Depending on when you're coming, the weekend of October 5th, every hotel in the DFW area will be sold out. Its OU/Texas weekend. |
