Creative Juices (quilt pictures) 1 Attachment(s) I was playing around with some scrap fabric and an online tutorial I found for a 10 minute quilt block (sew simple!!!) |
1 Attachment(s) Same pattern, I just didn't turn the edges of my center square. And obviously different fabrics. |
1 Attachment(s) And as the saying goes, " each one teach one" meaning each person who knows a craft (any craft) should teach one other person, so the craft is carried on. My daughter decided in December that she wanted to make her boyfriend a quilt. I told her I would only teach her. I wouldn't purchase fabric, I wouldn't cut or sew fabric and I wouldn't quilt it for her, it had to be 100% her own. She came up with the pattern and blocks she liked, I helped her figure the sizes she would need and how much fabric to purchase of each, and helped her figure out a placement of blocks. She has 1/2 of the quilt completed. It will have 2 panels like this one, will be queen sized and be 8 blocks across and 10 down, so what I am showing is merely 1/4 of the entire quilt. She is proud, and so am I. (I personally don't care for the fabrics, but its not my quilt). |
In pictures 1 and 2, you can see my layers of quilt tops on the design wall lol. I am hoping to get those completed this weekend! |
Very nice I like them all, number 2 has more color and I like the floral blocks. Speaking of Quilting Blocks I have an idea that has been rolling around in this crazy mind of mine since I joined in my first YT design challenge. I want to run it by you and see what you think. I'll PM you. |
