Dogs Kill Alligator in Florida - Warning Graphic
 
This photo is graphic by nature. Open with caution. Sometimes nature is cruel. But there is also beauty in that cruelty. The alligator is one of the most elite predators in nature. However, even it can fall victim to the 'wolf pack' strategy, made possible due to the canine's intelligence and social structure. A pack of ferocious wild dogs in Florida attacked and killed an alligator. See the remarkable attached photograph courtesy of Nature Magazine.

As awful as this picture is, it is about time some dogs got even. There isn't anyone that lives in Florida that hasn't heard the horror stories of gators taking the backyard pet :eek:

Well, I am glad I read all the replies BEFORE I clicked on the link. I am very sensitive to graphic nature photos. I change the channel when Big Cats (Lions, Cheetas etc.) take down their pray. I sure didn't want to see this. Thanks for the warning!

I sorta opened one eye at a time and peeked at the pic til I realized it was so funny. Thanx for the chuckle..I sure do hope those alligators learn NOT to fool with a pack of wild dogs such as these...
