Facial product for clogged pores? I used to use Biore years ago but heard a rumor that using those strips actually can make your pores bigger. I don't know if that's true, aren't your pores determined by genetics? Anyway, I have tiny clogged pores on the tip of my nose. I exfoliate a few times a week with a wash cloth. The little white heads come out, but show up again like the next day. Any recs on a product that would help? |
I have an AWESOME mask. It's pricey, but it WORKS! Glymed Plus Anti-Aging Exfoliant Masque (4 oz) - Shop at Skin1! |
I would alternate using an at home glycolic peel and a lactic acid peel (once a week, then 2x if needed)...in combo with a derma roller, which helps the process even more and fosters collagen building. You can buy 65% peels that are safe for at home....and they'd charge you well over $100-200 at a spa. Sometimes, daily morning use of beta hydroxy acid can help keep the pores/blackheads under control. And of course, retinol is great to use at night, both for anti-aging and to exfoliate gently (which helps minimize pores). edited to add link: http://www.makeupartistschoice.com/ |

I clean really well with plain rubbing alcohol and than use St. Ives apricot scrub to do a deep cleaning. I love it, Plus it makes my skin smooth as a babies bottom. St. Ives Apricot Scrub :D |
Btw, this is an example of a derma roller, which is the easiest thing ever to use (but a spa will charge you $250 to do it for you!): ![]() |

I had FX Laser on my face last year, and it was very expensive and very painful. The derm roller looks like it's worth a try. |
Ouch! It looks painful!!! LOL I have cystic acne. :( No one knows I have acne, I don't really get pimples often that are visible. Instead I get these lumps under the skin that come on fast and last for years. They occasionally swell up and I'm able to poke them but they don't go away. I've been to a dermo and was on low dose antibiotics for them for 6 months, it helped but didn't get rid of them. She mentioned Acutane, but didn't want to resort to that until she exhausted all other options. Since they SEEM a bit better, I just stopped going. These Glymed products are awesome amazing products. I've never tried anything that helped so much! |

Wow, thanks for the prompt reply Ann. I just ordered the .5 one on Amazon, and can't wait to try it. BTW way all fellow YT members, I love how we share so much off topic info here. Who knew that a Yorkie forum would be so full of beauty hints:D |
I'm starting to feel weird, or like some sort of 'little house' woman. ...I just take a bar of goat's milk bar soap to my face along with the rest of me while I'm in the shower. O_o |
