It does sound like the booth and raffle went well. Can't wait for Ladyjane to rest up so we can get a few more details. |

Congrats, Lisa!! You totally deserve it!! :) |
I am sorry...I am so out of it still and it has been a rough day. I really wanted to get some pics posted but just have not gotten them all together. There were actually four winners in the raffle. The one person was hesitant to give me her user ID. She said she has not been on for a while. She then said what she *thought* it was...but there is no one by that name. Perhaps she just wants to be anonymous. The other person, I have not asked yet...I had called her and she is supposed to call me back. I will ask if I can share the fact that she won. As to what is going on here...besides the fact I am still exhausted, there is something horribly sad going on in my home............ Yesterday Gabby was having some issues at the dog show; and then today, she had a seizure. She has been failing for the past few weeks...I honestly had not thought she was going to make the dog show this year. She was having seizures, but I did not know that was what it was for sure since many times it was at night and she would wake me up. She would be on her side and not able to get up and would be barking. I think she would seize and then when it was over, she could not turn back up from being on her side so then she would bark to wake me. I had talked to my vet about it and she said to just watch her...that maybe she was just turning over and was just not able to get back up. She seemed to perk up a couple of days before the dog show, so off she went with us and she did well. It was interesting...in that past two previous years, she would be mostly in her own stroller or carried around by Lisa and another YHR member. This year all she did was bark to be in the stroller with Armani and Pippi. As long as she stayed in there, she was content. As I am typing this, she is laying in her bed with my Armani next to her. Two of our members were visiting today when she had the seizure and we talked and I do know it is time to let her go before she really gets bad. She has had enough in her life and she has had a few good years here with me...I don't want her to get terribly sick and suffer and then leave me. These are the decisions that twist my insides and stomp on my heart; but they have to be made. :( So tomorrow she goes to my vet at 11:00 AM. :( My sweet girl will be whole again .. I hope Sunny D and Sammy will be there for her. :( I am sorry to bring sad news to this happy thread. I am going to turn it happy again once I have gotten past this. I am going to post some pics of Gabby from the show...and also one of her I took a little while ago. She is in her crate sleeping and Armani is with her sleeping too. I love my pups as they all are so kind to one another. |
Oh Linda I am so sorry! Gabby was such a good girl in the stroller and really looked happy to be with you, Armani, and Pippi. Thank you for your selfless act of mercy. I admire your strength and wish Gabby a peaceful night tonight. She will be healed soon and will thank you when you meet her in Heaven. Thank you Linda for making her last days on this Earth full of love. |
4 Attachment(s) The first three pics are of Gabby at the show....I believe she enjoyed herself. People really loved Gabby .. she always has attracted attention. The last pic is the one I took a little while ago of her and Armani sleeping together. So sweet. I think he must know she does not feel well...although my pups have always gone in that crate to sleep with her. Who knows...I just know that we all love her so much and this hurts terribly. God bless you Linda. Until we meet again seems so long sometimes but a loving owner does what\'s best to ease a pet\'s pain. |
So sorry, Linda. </3 It\'s so hard to make those kind of judgement calls -- especially for your best friend and essentially your furry child. I hope she feels better, and hope you get some rest tonight. I\'m sure you\'re probably full of worry and anxiety right now. :-( Sending virtual hugs and smooches to Gabby! |
So sad. I do hope Gabby will pull through, you both will be in our thoughts. |
I\'m very sorry, Linda. I know your heart is heavy. She is such a beautiful little girl. I pray her night is peaceful. Prayers for a peaceful night for you, too. |
