I was looking through classifieds like i do on occasion and i came across this ad with this pic of a yorkie. I have never seen a white one before and it says on the ad it is akc registered? Anyone else seen pics or have one i would love to see or hear from you! Thanks :)

That was what i was thinking but did you check out the ad also? I am wondering just if the lady doesnt really know what breed it is-cute though huh?

I have to agree, it does look like a Maltese. I personally have never heard of a white Yorkie before :confused:

You're right, it seems that this person does not know their breeds. I'm curious to know how it could be registered as a Yorkie with the AKC.

She probably just mixed up her pictures. I'm pretty sure that white is not a color AKC allows for yorkies.

I agree also, it looks like a Maltese. Have you asked her if she might have mixed up her pictures. Kinda hard to do though, without thinking you might offend someone.

What a SWEET maltese! I've seen many mistakes made like this one. Maybe they didn't get a preview to see the pictures to make sure they were the right one. I know on my husband's profile, it gives you the file name but no preview...I have the preview on mine.

This is true. I send the wrong pics to my friends all of the time (totally embarrassing). I would just email her and say you think the wrong picture is posted for her ad...like you're "helping" her and ask if she could email you the picture of the yorkie while she corrects it ;) I don't think it's offensive at all.

Ii don't know I think (think being the operative word) that it is a Coton De Coleur( I am not sure if I spelled it right....a while back my wife stumbled on them and just loves how they look.....
they are pretty rare and start around 2000 here in Michigan.
