When people say something to get on your nerves, how do you deal with it? I wanted to talk about this topic. When someone says something to aggravate you, how do you deal? Explain here. For me, I usually try to ignore it. |
For me, it depends on the situation. Online, I try to ignore it. Like here, I'll post something and some of the readers will only pay attention to one phrase instead of the entire context and they'll go a bit nutso. Instead of constantly trying to re-explain what I said I just let them go off on their tangents and ignore it. In person, it just depends on the person- I'll ignore or argue- depends more on my mood, I think. |

Ignore them if all they are looking for is to start trouble. Explain your feelings otherwise...you have the right to speak your mind. |

If it's just irritating and about something silly or trivial, I let it go. If a person makes a statement on an important issue with which I basically disagree on principle, I usually reply and state why I disagree. |
Well i have 2 little sisters so i get annoyed alot. But i just try to ignore them until they stop. Or i just walk away from them and take a break.:) |
I bite my tongue a lot. If I feel strong on the issue than I will state my peace and try not to argue. |

I always felt people that say aggravating things are unhappy individuals and I dont want to further the situation so I ignore the unpleasantries. Daily life has too many situations that are more important in dealing with and life is too short and time is too precious to waste on unkindness from others. I am blessed with my friendships and families and learnt many years back this was the best way to live my life and not have unhappy relationships. I pray when situations come up, put them all in God's care. I hope you can feel the need to not let others bother you, enjoy life, God's blessings to you. |
