The bears are feeling brave Second one I've seen in town in 1 week! http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...619_212107.jpg |
Wow. I am so not a fan of the bears. Last year we had to replace most of our hives because a 2 year old male. . . Adolescences lol |
 Yikes! Be careful. LadyJane shared an amazing bear video on Facebook yesterday. I wish it was on YouTube to share here. It is a hunter perched high in a tree holding a video camera. A cub climbs the tree and puts his nose in the hunter's lap. |
Scary! |
Stay safe! |
I live in east central Alabama in a subdivision about 10 miles out of town & about 15 miles from a national forest. A large bear was spotted a few days ago in a subdivision just about a mile from me. The lady who spotted it had her two kids in the car with her. She said it was running across one of the streets there. Really gives me something to think about on my early morning walks with Milo. |

The bear I saw was right smack in the middle of town and eating McDonald's from the garbage:D |

Thanks! Bears are not generally in our area either. We're only about 35 miles from the GA line & about 95 miles west of Atlanta. Our local paper ran an article a few days ago that said they were coming over from Georgia due to environmental changes. |
Not walking is really not much of an option. It's just so great for me & for Milo too. It is a scary thing to think of seeing one downtown---even if you are in Alaska. How uncommon is that? Also, I didn't know there was such a thing as bear spray. Are you just kidding about that? |

Yes there is bear spray, I've seen some at a place with camping stuff but it was like 40-50 $ |
We Had one smack dab in front of us on a trail in the smoky mountains |
