The Tieks looks plain too, but the leathers look really nice and the price is better, but they still look like they have no arch support! Anyone on here tried them out before? They have such a slick website, I tend to not like them too over stylized. It's like they are trying to trick you. LOL

I think SAS brand are great shoes. A tad expensive but worth it. I do believe they have arch support.

Sperry Topsiders. They have GREAT arch support and are flats. I can walk for miles & miles in mine, so much cushion!

Born has arch support in their flats. Every time I try on a pair it's like aahhhh! They are so comfy.

I never tried a Merrell that I didn't like. My DD has started swiping mine - she is on her feet all day in the classroom!

Flats make my calves hurt. I have house shoes with 2 inch heels because I hate being barefoot.

I've heard Merrels are very comfy on the cruise forum. Everyone goes crazy about them for walking, but I do not like that style at all. =/

I also found these. I may get these too, in case the Pumas don't work out. A bit more than I wanted to spend though. They have non studded ones for less but they don't look as cool. Did you wear mostly heels growing up? My aunts are like that. All heels and go go boots in the 60s and made their calves all weird. So now they are older, almost 70 and wear flats, but they walk weird, like they can't extend their leg for the heel to contact the ground first.

I had shoes like that and the tread squares wear down quickly if you do a lot walking in them. My father still wears them -- I'll look at the brand and post it later.

I didn't wear heels much because I was already tall. :D My problem might be related to not having much of an arch in my feet. I don't know, but I still have a nice stride and can touch my heel.

Merrell's are great for comfort. I wear Merrell boots most days in the winter.
