Thanks for the link! I hadn't had a chance to look on Amazon yet. The plastic ones are for around $30, not bad! They have used ones listed LOL! No thanks. I think I'll pay the extra few bucks for a new one.

Haha! I went ahead and ordered the plastic one from Simple Human for $35. I liked the gray one, but it was $10 more, and I didn't like it THAT much more. Some reviews said the plastic hinge broke after a few months use. Knowing that, we'll try to be mindful of that. Otherwise, I think it's a fair price. Free shipping too!

Glad you found a trash can. We have ours in a cabinet with a pull out thingy. If it were out in the open, I'm sure Teddy would be into it, especially when I throw away his chew. I left our cabinet open for a minute, and he was trying to climb up and get his chew back, lol.

The people we are dog-sitting for have one with a lid that opens automatically. Scares me every time I walk past it and the lid opens. :p

I did notice that, but a good thing is that Simple Human seemed to reply to all of those people explaining their 5 year warranty and that one of their reps would contact them. So that is good customer service and a good warranty :thumbup:

I would be worried that an auto open can would be too easy and inviting for a dog. Plus those things are pricey!
