Any computer geeks out there? I need help with my photo uploads. Any computer geeks out there, and I mean no disrespect. Anyone who knows there way around a computer is wonderful. :) I just downloaded a new web browser per Microsoft suggested updates. Love the added spell check and auto work correction that was added for anything that I type on any page, its wonderful. What I have discovered is that now my photos are missing. I don't understand how that is possible, but any time I go in search of a photo to upload here on Fb or using a photo editing site there is only a handful of my photo/files. I know they are there because they are in my files in my pictures but not when I am trying to upload them to a site. I have updated my java and my adobe in the hopes that that would work, but no luck. I have restarted my computer also with no luck. Help..... anyone, Please ? |

PS I just saw the browser was something they suggested. They absolutely should fix this. It sounds as if your "Browse my computer" isn't bringing up all of your pix and this is something they should be able to fix. |

Which Windows version are you using? Did you go to Start > Computer > Libraries > Pictures? Or do you keep your pictures elsewhere? If you know one of the file names for one of your missing pics, you could do a search and see if they were filed somewhere else. |
I looked at my updates from yesterday and I see something about Internet Explorer 10. Is that what you downloaded? That is really odd. It shouldn't have changed your photo location. |
Can't you just click to have your computer go past the current selection of photos to wherever else you have them stores using the Windows back button feature to get the window to take you elsewhere to browse? It sounds as if the update might have caused your system to not bring up the usual location you are used to seeing but by clicking the up arrow at the top of the window that is brought up, you should be able to navigate to another picture file section in your computer. I also had auto updates on my IE 10 yesterday with a cumulative security pack and I too love the auto work correction but didn't know where it came from. |

May have to do a system restore. When ever I am in a photo editing format or even here on Ty and browse to find a pic only a handful of my pics are available. But if I to my library my pics are there. I don't get it. |

Call Microsoft and have them support their updates. If those mess you up, they will fix your problem. It is free if you have Windows 7. |

I think I had the same problem you are describing having difficulty finding the picture files when doing certain things. My non tech solution was to put my files on my desktop where I can find them easily. I hope you can get it figured out. |

When I scan things, I can't find the folder and it doesn't show in "recent places." I have to use the search function. Windows 7 can be weird to me. |
I will call them on Monday but until then I'll figure something out... even if it mean more steps to get what I need. Computer are so finicky ! |
