Camping with Yorkies... 1 Attachment(s) Most of my YT friends know that DH & I love to go camping with our dogs. We had a small motorhome that we have used for the last 10 years and have had a wonderful time...... Last weekend, we went for our first outing this year and had a wonderful time with the exception of having to pack in the rain. By the time we managed to scurry everything into the RV it was completely packed (you all know that Yorkies require lots of stuff... xpens, stroller, cabana beds..etc). We couldn't even sit down because of all the stuff!!! Hubby said that it was a bit too much. So........ we no longer have our RV. :( Introducing.... Shelby, Seymour, and Seegers new weekend warrior camper!! Much more room AND a place to sit down when it rains!! :p I am so excited!! Here is a pic of the interior of the Outback 298re.... (it's a pull behind type, but so much more to have fun in!!! ) Just wanted to share the excitement we are having.... WOOT WOOT!!! Attachment 386150 |
That is one fantastic caravan, I would guess it is bigger than some apartments. Hope you all have many (safe) adventures in it. |
Oh WOW!!!!! :D I'm sure it's bigger than our house....but then, this is the UK!!! :D It's gorgeous - you must be SO HAPPY! I wish you many happy holidays and adventures in your Littlies new mobile house :) Congratulations! Sally + Harry x |
We are full time RV'ers and our Bella is just a joy to have with us. She loves watching all the people, meeting and greeting them. The kids go crazy over her! She is having a blast. We are in a 40ft motorhome...............yours is gorgeous! ENJOY! Come to PA. |
What a beautiful way to enjoy camping. I can only imagine packing for a weekend of camping with all your little ones and the space they take up. I have a car full of things just going to the dog park for a few hours. Enjoy yourself this summer. |
The things we do for our pups:D Super new camper! |
What a beautiful rig! We love to camp with our two Yorkies. We have a 27ft Lazy Daze motorhome. We are into bluegrass music so we go to alot of the get togethers and festivals here. Kentucky has great bluegrass music! Enjoy your comfy new rig and all the friends and dogs you will meet while you camp. We are members of Thousand Trails and also Elks Club. Both have alot of excellent camping places. Come to California in your rig. We are going up to Sequoia. It is beautiful! |
Wow it looks amazing. Love camping |
Simply gorgeous! We also so camping and our fist trip for the summer is in a couple of weeks. It will be our first with Teeka and Tatiana! And yes, yorkies seem to require a lot of "stuff"! So happy for you and your pups! :) S |
That looks amazing!! I have never seen a caravan like that before :) Enjoy it very much together with your DH and your fur babies :D |
I love your new home away from home, it is beautiful :) |
I am so jealous... !! We still camp in a pop up camper with 4 people, some times 5 and our 4 Yorkies ... |
You calll that camping? It looks more like Ritz Carlton on wheels! :D Congrats and enjoy it! |
Omg that is not camping. That is a house on wheels. When I hear camping I think tent. Has anyone gone camping in a tent with their Yorkies or Biewers? |
awesome! |
LOL..... Thanks for the nice comments.. And yes, most regular campers start with tents or small popups. I think an x pen is a necessity / or a crate when in a tent. Making sure they don't slip thru the door opening during the night would be my greatest concern! |

Very NICE! We had our first outing last week,10days in the Ozarks, took 3 furbabys. We travel in a 38ft,Raptor with single bay toy hauler. If the motorcycle isnt in the bay, everything pup goes in the it. Otherwise it is stored in the loftbed area or the 2nd small bedroom. We dont have a membership to "Thousand Trails" but my parents did and their facilities are wonderful. Your new RV is lovely, enjoy. |
awesome// sounds like fun to me |

We have a large tent, and I use his play covered pen, and his in tent crate that is a camping crate, meshed screened et al. And so is his play pen. We have camped with three dogs. 2 Brt's and one Yorkie. And btw we home feed. Bally Hoo Can be a bit of work:rolleyes:. To me it is worth it to be outside 24/7 with our pups, to hike, and to swim with them. Campfires, shooting stars and all of the bounty of nature at our feet. |
I went to Petsmart and they have a round type dog enclosure. You close it with a zipper and the dogs can toot around in it. Of course I would never leave my Yorkies outside alone without me. Some campers do that and leave them in a pen. They could get stolen. This is pretty cool if you are sittin outside and want the dogs out there too. Check it out. |
