Did any of you see this article? Couple Wears Duct Tape Outfits to Prom - ABC News

I thought the outfits looked fantastic! I hope Amber & her cousin win :)

That is amazing what they did with the duct tape!

I enjoyed the Project Runway challenge in which they used duct tape to make dresses.

When I was a senior in highschool we had a couple do the Prom ductape, and they won it was very very interesting to see how creative they were!

I agree. I hope you'll see the rest of the story. Duck (brand tape) sponsors the contest every year for high school seniors.

I very seldom watch tv so I missed those shows.

That is a great promotion that Duck came up with, serving a worthy cause and encouraging creativity while promoting their product.

I never watch the TV, but I do see Project Runway and other shows on the computer when YazminD, Carla, reminds me. :D The Duct Tape challenge may still be available on Lifetime.com.

LOL...I find I'm drawn to those home renovation shows when I just HAVE to watch something mindless. It's funny, for several years when my kids were growing up, I was known as "the mean mom" because I only allowed them each 10 hours a week tv & NO Bart Simpson type shows!

I love home renovation shows too, but I had to stop watching because they made me want to do things, lol.

You sound like a great mom limiting tv. :)

I couldn't imagine wearing that. Way too hot. I read that article, I think the guy said it was like wearing a sauna suit. LOL
I wonder, do they lay out the tape and make it into a fabric first? That's how I'd do it. Then just cut it out as regular fabric. Albeit, really annoying sticky on the edges fabric, and that you'll have to clean your scissors after each piece cut out.

Can imagine sewing it either. The needle would keep getting stuck with the adhesive. Or I guess they could just tape the pieces together! :sidesplt:

LOL! On Project Runway, the contestants put the tape on muslin and they were able to sew through the tape.
