Tattoes Hey ladies!! I just want to know ya'll opinion about tattoes. I want to get one where my back ends, but my husband thinks I am crazy. He doesn't have any, neither do I, but I would love to. Mom says I will never be able to donate blood if a want to. Does any of you ladies have tattoes? Do ya'll regret having one? |
love them!!!!!!!!! I have 3 You can donate blood you just have to wait a year after getting one |
I love tattoos!! I have 2, one on my ankle and one on my lower back. I just wanted to warn you that the lower back IMO is painful. The one on my ankle didn't hurt me at all, but I had to take a break during the one on my lower back. The tattoo artist said that it was because I was so small and all of the nerve endings are there....I don't know about that, but I do know that it was pretty painful. Good luck! I know that you'll love it. I don't regret mine at all!! :) |

I absolutely love mine. I have seven (7) tattoos. I have one on my lower back also and that one did hurt more so than the rest of them but it is a lot bigger than the others. I must warn you though, before you make the decision to get a tattoo just know that they are very addictive. I don't know anyone that is satisfied with just one. "That's how I ended up with seven";). Also, whatever you decide to get make sure that it is something that has meaning to you because once you get it you are stuck with it for the rest of your life. Have fun!!! |
I have 3 tattoo's...ankle, left arm, and left breast...I must warn you that they are addictive! |
I love em I have one tattoo on my hip and I love it... Id get another!! |
I have 3 and I love them all......I have one on my butt one on my lower back and one on my anckle...dont regret any of them. |
I also have three....back of right shoulder, on the leg and on my lower back. The one on the lower back hurt IMO...and everyone is right, they are addictive. :D |
I have 2 tattoo's...I am now 43 a grandma to 3.75 wee ones and I have never once regreted getting the ones I have. I took my time and thought up things though that had and would always have meaning in my life. If it's your thing it's your thing and if it's not it's not. If this is something you truly want and have thought about it then I say go for it! |
I also have a tattoo. Just one at this time. I have been wanting another in a very bad way for a very long time. My second husband says that I can't get another one but I will anyways. Just haven't had the time to get it. I live in Oklahoma and it still isn't legal here. And I haven't been out of this crazy state in a while. But I agree, they are addictive. Mine is on my ankle and before I went in I talked to the artist in length on the phone. I expressed my apprehension about the pain. I knew you couldn't come in drunk....due to possibility of excess and prolonged bleeding. I asked about taking a Valium and Demerol and he said that if I did that before I came in and signed my waiver and acted normal then "he knew nothing about it" and that is exactly what I did. It was just fine. Took my own headphones and cranked that music up to drown out the wonderful sound. They play their own unique style of music and I was afraid that it would annoy me to no end if I had to listen to it the entire time. Mine took 45 mins and they actually had to tap me to tell me when I was done. I love mine although I do need to get it touched up. I followed the instructions at first (avoid too much exposure to sun) but have been a slacker lately. Good luck with it and enjoy!!! |
I have 1 on my lower back. IMO it didn't hurt really at all. The part that got me was when I stood up, I almost passed out! Because I had been hunched over for like 45 min! But I love mine so much & I have had it for 3 1/2 years. I want to get another so bad, but can't decide what I want. They are addicting!! :p |
3 Attachment(s) Lets see pictures ladies! Here are mine. My first one was on my upper back, 3 butterflies for my 3 babies. My nana used to tell us that we were her beautiful butterflies. Everytime I see them I think of her and how she would have adored my babies. 2nd one was on my lower back, 3 red roses also for my babies. I love red roses! And the ankle, also 3 roses. |

HAHA! Hilarious ;) I have 6 tattoos and love them all. They each have significant meaning and that is the most important. I think too many people get one too quick without thinking about it and then grow to regret it after the initial excitement wears off! |
I have 1 tattoo of a small rose on my right shoulder. I love it! |
I have a cross with a rose on my lower back. My parents gave it to me for my 18th birthday present. It took about an hour and I think I'm weird cause it didn't hurt at all. It was an annoying feeling, but not painful. I loooove it though and I'm in the midst of getting another one...its been drawn, now I have to decide where to put it! |

I have 3--one on my lower stomach, one on my shoulder and one on my hip. The one on my lower stomach hurt like crap. The shoulder didn't, and I fell asleep during the one on my hip...not during the outline part, mind you! Hey, I was laying down, I was tired...I couldn't help it. |
I have a beautiful butterfly on my low back and a little butterfly on top of my foot (looks like it has flown out from between my toes). The one on the foot didn't hurt and took maybe 20 minutes. The one on my back hurt!! I had to zone my mind to a special place to keep it off of the pain. It took 45 minutes! I love them both even though my mother gave me a hard time getting them. My son got one when he turned 18 and I think my husband and I were going through our midlife crises and decided to get one too. I never would have thought getting a tattoo before. But I love mine! |
I have 2 tatoos, one on my lower back and one on my hip. My one on the lower back took 2 hours to do (so it's pretty big). It didn't hurt that much except when they got to the "love handle area" haha that's when it got a little sensitive. Both my tatoo's have meaning (they both have to do with my name Athina) The one on my back is an abstract design of wings and has the greek word "Thea" in the middle which means Goddess and the one on my hip is an abstract design of a dragon which represents wisdom and war because that's what Athena was, the godess of wisdom and war. :) You should put thought into your tatoo before getting it because it's something you have to live with for the rest of your life, and just a warning they are addictive haha i want to get another one but i just can't figure out what to get. |
My hubby has nine. All on his arms. I'm seriously thinking about getting my first on my lower back soon. I'm not sure though. I hate pain. :) |
I have a monarch butterfly on my lower back and I love it. |
Tatoos are very personal for those who get them. (well most anyway) I have two. One on my lower back. It consists of a scroll, heart, and in the middle of the heart is my husbands name. The second is on my ankle. It's a black scroll with 5 purple daisy's to represent my 3 children and two step daughters. I doubt I will ever get another, but I never say never either. |
