The Walking Dead
 
Okay, so I totally was not into the whole zombie thing, then my daughter mentioned The Walking Dead. Hubby and I watched the first two seasons on Netflix and have been patiently waiting for season 3 to come out - unbeknownst to us that season 3 was separated into two parts. I find out today that AMC is going to be having a Walking Dead marathon all next week, including all of season 3 leading up the finale next Sunday. I am so excited to finally be able to get caught up with this, what can only be explained as a cult-like, series!

We have another thread on it, but it died down when they took that stupid winter break. I'm not sure why I like zombie shows, they absolutely scare me to death, but I'm addicted to this one. Don't forget to watch the Talking Dead, a talk show that discusses the night's episode as well as interviews writers and actors. It’s a lot of fun and the host is just as enthusiastic as I am about the show.

Lynzy - I literally had nightmares after watching this show the first couple of times - weird dreaming of zombies... Oh and I forgot to mention that I would get freaked out taking Jack out at night and would stand in the house, in the doorway for seemed like 10 minutes to make sure there were no zombies in the yard - Poor Jack would just stare at me and be like, mom, I really, really need to go potty and no, there are no zombies out here, so can we just get moving?

Nancy - thank you for letting me know about the other thread and the talk show. I will definitely have to check it out. I know what you mean about not liking zombie movies, but this one has been created, directed and filmed so well, that you do get hooked!

Yeah we even have a member here, who works on the show, but she's sworn me to secrecy and she won't tell me a darn thing about what coming up. Yeah the actors are brilliant all so believable, and the storyline is what keeps me coming back.

How cool is that? A member here who works on the show!!! I just reviewed the other thread and tried not to read too much into the Season 3 stuff because we haven't seen any of those yet. And I had no idea the actor who plays Rick is from the U.K. Now I will have to go see if I can youtube him. LOL

my husband and i just started watching the walking dead 2 days ago, we finished season one and half way through season 2...i really didnt think i would like it but i am addicted and want to know what happens next lol.

Ha ha, I do get nightmares about it, even dreamed Joey and Ralphie turned into zombies, but this was after watching them chomp on raw bison back ribs!

It is not my typical show to watch either. But we love it too! It is not just a zombie show. Lol. It actually has a plot.

The Walking Dead is my absolute favourite show, it is the only show that ever gets my full attention. I save them up and have my own marathon series watching session.

I was wondering why Rick seemed familiar when I first started watching this show (season 2) and then it hit me--he was in "Love Actually"! He played the guy who was secretly in love with Keira Knightly's character, his best friend's wife!
This really is a great show, and for some reason I just haven't been watching this season at all. Thank you for the heads up on the marathon next week! It'll be good to get caught up!
