Anybody a hair colorist here? PLEASE HELP HELP HELP HELP MEEEEE PLEASE LOL I have a serious question. I dyed my hair, it's not terrible but not the results I wanted. I need help :( |
The hairdresser messed mine up years ago and I drove home with plantium hair, crying all the way. I went to a beauty supply that told me to put just a bottle of non perm. coloring(tint)on it. Something for your color to hold on too. Then apply the perm. color you want and it will hold. Hopes this helps. Know how you feel. |
ok so what did you want and what color did you end up with?? what product did you use and do you have any grays....if so what percentage??? ill try my best to help licensed hairdressor but havent worked in salon it a long time...but i do cut and color my own still hehe. |
My hair is a natural light ash brown with natural subtle hightlights. I applied l'oreals champagne blonde with 30% peroxide. I didn't get the drugstore box colors but the real colors from a beauty supply store. It gave it a reddish tint, then i highlighted it and it came out more blonde with a reddish undertown. Then i applied Wella's blonde ash toner that has a blue base to tone it down a bit. It was too blonde and bright. It toned it a bit but i want it a little darker, like a shade or 2 darker but still want the hightlights, what do i do? I can post pics if it helps |
I am not a hairdresser but have been doing my own hair for years and use the same type of stuff and brand you do. If you want a darker blond that is not ashy or golden brassy look at the color called baby beige in the brown bottle, number 10 E. Sometimes I mix it with a lighter blond, also try using # 20 developer this will not lighten as much. Use the lighter shade for the highlights, but IMO highlights are hard to do on your own. I have a problem though, I have kept my natural blond long into my 30's, now that I am older the sides of the hair over my ears has become transparent, I would describe the color as clear:eek:. I use a bunch of grey magic drops and leave the color on that part for a longer time, but nothing seems to be happening. I will probably have to bite the bullet and go to a salon, I love the color on the rest of my head, just not around the ears |
