Never forget...Michael Vick...Dealth Threats! Yea! |
While I am no fan of Michael Vick, I find it disgusting that people do such things. Death threats? Really? |
I never cared for him, even before the dog fighting nightmare. I am happy that people have not forgotten what he did, even though he did serve his time. I could never forgive him. Karma! |

Let me start by saying I am no fan of Michael Vicks, NEVER will be. But I am so torn over this man. Living in Atlanta I hear the same line all the time "Michael Vick deserves a second chance". Yes, okay he does but second chances do not include being handed large amounts of money for endorsement deals. For this I also fault the businesses handing over the checks (Barnes and Noble, Nike the book publisher I am talking about you). In the case of Nike I read the headlines of the endorsement deal just a few days after buying a pair of running shoes. When I wrote Nike to ask if this was true I was told "Yes, we provide many athletes both Male and Female with endorsements contract" When I replied asking what they were doing for the animals who deserve the same second chance I got no response so I promptly returned my shoes and vowed never to buy a Nike product again. I do know I will never buy his book, honestly I did not know the man was writing a book. I will continue my silent little protest against Mr Vick by not patronizing the business who include themselves in his "second chance". Seriously I have not been in a Barnes and Noble in YEARS- Thank you Amazon. |
I think Michael Vick is disgusting; but for me to wish death on him and his loved ones would be to put myself in a position of being just like him. The question in my mind is this: What is the difference in him killing animals and people wishing death on him??? |

Death threats is going too far. Those who are against him should instead use the opportunity for educating about dog fighting and the tragedy of 'pit bulls' (no such breed, but you guys know what it means). Btw, I just saw on TV that as some sort of anniversary commemoration - they are getting together ALL the still-living Michael Vick 'Vicktory Dogs' in one place. The surviving dogs are a great example of how many/most dogs can be rehabilitated if in the right rescue situation. Go Vicktory Dogs ! |

Just realized that the "Nay" was left out of the subject line! Auto-correct is very annoying at times, but it appears that all of you got it. |
Let's take this opportunity to Quote:
I for one am very happy he paid, not only with his freedom, but also with losing endorsements and the two years off on his career. He deserved everything he got and more. But as big as this is, it only compares to a drop of water in the ocean. As many before him have profited from killing the once known as "the nanny dog". It will ALWAYS be up to us to stand vigilant, educating our children to love and respect all animals. |
