It's already that time again. Spring forward this weekend and anybody with older gadgets, set those clocks an hour ahead Saturday night!!! We're getting our extra hour of daylight back evenings but BOO-HISS - losing an hour of good sleep Saturday night and all of next week and even longer. This is the one that is hardest to me somehow - though I am really happy to have the extra hour of light in the evenings. But, boy, do I hate waking up an hour earlier. Takes forever to adjust to that. :( :) :D

i agree i just wish they would leave the the same year round...i hate the adjustment. boo hooooo is right!

With the time change.....I just thought of something....it really upsets children's schedule. So....does it upset a puppy's schedule? I mean, Teeka is about 8 months and I am wondering if she will think it is time to get up earlier than usual!!!:eek: OMGoodness, I hope not!!!

It does every dog I've ever known. They go by an internal clock and just because you want to go to bed an hour earlier so you can get up earlier, baby may not need to go yet. But, just about the time you've been down an hour, he's right there, looking at you and going around in circles telling you it is time to go outside. Same thing the next morning, you get up and dig him up to go outside an hour earlier than he's used to and he just stands there at first, walks around. Older dogs will just go when they get the chance and a puppy usually that's been asleep all night will also but they look at you in the dark as if to say, "What's goin' on? It's dark out and I need the rest of my sleep! Why are we out here now?" But they usually go ahead and go. It does throw them off but usually by the end of the first week they are getting back in with the program and the new normal.

I think it is going to with mine. It does with my cat. It did with my sisters dog who is now 10 and no longer affected by it though.

Thanks for the reminder... cant wait for longer days, fun in the sun and play time with the pups in the yard. Just waiting on the warm weather now !

I LOVE the longer evenings!!! A sign of Spring and Summer........... not to mention CAMPING!!! :excited2:

:D It sure does upset their schedule if you feed them at a certain time every day, and even more if you have a clock that chimes and they know by the chime if it's dinner time. :p (Which is also how I am certain that dogs can also count)

I do feed them on a schedule, but no clock....they just know! I don't know how, but they do! Come to think of it, Teeka has been getting up about 45 mins. earlier than usual. I wonder if her internal clock is preparing me!

I think I'm going to change my clocks tonight so we can get used to it... I hate losing an hour! lol
