Sometimes the smallest things in life bring the most happiness. This has been an interesting morning. Nothing earth shattering or consequential, but I can't stop smiling now. Have you ever had a moment when your hobbies or interests overlap? Mine did a complete circle! My absolute favorite tv show is Castle. It's my do not disturb/can't miss an episode/watch multiple times/own the DVDs show. The next two episodes have the fandom in a bit of a tizzy. I was browsing around looking for spoilers on various boards and ran across an old tweet from show creator Andrew Marlowe, quoting a favorite scene from my all time favorite movie, Lord of the Rings! And of course, my Sam is named after LOTR's Sam Gamgee. Actress Molly Quinn, who plays Alexis, has a Yorkie named Piper. Piper is also the name of my Sam's sister, who is my mom's. Mom is the one who turned me on to the tv show in the first place! It's so silly that all this made me so giddily happy, but it did. I've grinned like a goofball. And like I needed another reason to adore Nathan Fillion, there's (starts about 0:55 in the vid). Enough silliness. We now return you to your regularly scheduled Saturday. :D |
Haha! Too cute! I live for the 'Little things'... |
Cute! |
A footnote on this. I follow the cast of Castle on Twitter. Molly tweeted Friday night that her sweet Piper had disappeared from her back yard. She thought that a hawk or coyote had gotten her. It turns out that Piper somehow got out. The person who found her took her to another house where the Yorkies were frequent escape artists. The people there said that Piper was theirs! But now they don't have her. Molly has put out flyers and notified all the shelters and vets' offices. Thankfully Piper has a chip. Say a prayer that this sweet girl makes her way home! |
Oh no! Praying Piper finds her way home! |
