Boy oh boy has it been raining in Alabama today! My yard is a pond now and they say we could get around 4 inches of rain by the end of tomorrow. Yikes!

I may have to get a canoe and paddle to work in the morning. :rolleyes:

Ugh! I've been drying him with 3 towels at a time and throwing those in the dryer for the next "outing". lol

Stay dry Terri and be safe! I remember those days drying Coco off over and over! Sometimes when it rained she would go to the sliding door look outside and turn around as if to say " ah forget it." LOL

I lived in Maryland from 2001 thru 2007. In 2003 (I think..may have be '04) around this same time of year, we had 22" at my house. I've lived in Alabama all of my life except those years. In 2002, I had my one and only white Christmas. But I had about 100 yards from my front door to the driveway (we rented a little cottage on a farm). I sure was not loving digging my way to the car and then digging the car out. So, I feel for you!!

With that said...I'd take SOME snow over this rain :D

Oh my gosh..he totally did that about 3 times today. I think he finally decided he couldn't hold it anymore. And the rain ..I can dry that off, but he always decided he HAD do go when we were having lightning.

I made sure he knew how much Mommy loves him to take him out in lightning. lol

So cool you lived in Maryland! We didn't get all the snow but its cold and I over it!!!! Omgosh the lightening is so scary! Shelby sounds like good boy! Coco would hold it for as long as she could. Georgie on the other hand isn't pee pad trained (a small regret of mine) and he will pee on the mat by the back door. We just expect it and clean the rug. I guess he's sort of trained lol.

Oh, be careful and don't drive through deep puddles and stay safe tomorrow! I've been seeing on TV the weather you all have been having. Take care - we want you on here tomorrow night safe and secure. :)

Thanks, Jeanie! I'll be extra careful. I had a coworker (actually back in Maryland again lol) that thought his giant SUV could "make it" thru a road that had water over it. Well, he didn't lol

I told him "if you can't see the road, don't drive on it..duh." LOL - I promise to be careful.

Fortunately for us...the tornadoes and warnings and such have stayed just south of us so we've mainly just had the rain and occassional lightning storms.

Us too. We are flooded in south Alabama as well. I wondered if the northern part of the state was saturated too. We are right in the path of all the rain coming in from the gulf. We had 9 inches yesterday. Enough already.

I know, right? It's nuts.

Mel and Morgan, it's not just raining..it is RAINNNING! I mean, everytime I think it is going to ease up, it starts pouring! Even had some thunder from about 2pm to 3 pm.

Is it bad that I just saw 2 zebras and 2 llamas walk past my window???
