Can you pop a burn blister? Me, 2 martinis and a really hot flat iron do not mix well! I have a burn blister on my finger. Its really full of fluid and not painful but it's driving me crazy! Can I pop it? Its on my index finger, on the tip of the pad, about 2 centimeters in circumference. |
i have before.. but I think it takes longer to heal and may get infected sorry that you hurt your self |
i was gonna say the same if you do pop it be sure to keep it wrapped and clean with antibiotic ointment. stay away from the flat irons..martinis i approve of. hehe. |
You can but you shouldn't, but I always do...lil pin prick quick soak in peroxide and wrap that baby up! take off before bed to let air out... remember my advice is against what a dr. would suggest, if you are diabetic or have other problems consult your dr. Pop blister at your own risk, its not my fault if it turns black and falls off:eek::D eta have a martini right after... |
I recommend you pop the blister, drain the fluid leaving the flap of skin over the blister, soak your burned finger in one martini and fix another one for YOU to DRINK!!!! (disclaimer: see your vet!) |

Popping the blister opebs you up literally to infection as well scaring. Ice it, it will reduce and be reabsorbed by body itself. Should it pop on its own treat as an open wound. |
Hit submit too soon, blisters are the bodys way of creating a natural band aid and instant start at. healing. |
If it weren't in such an awkward spot I would leave it alone, but its really hard to type and I do that a lot of the day! I think I'll just do a tiny pin hole, let it drain out, peroxide and bandaid for awhile tonight. I'll be careful! :) As for Martinis... well they are GOOD, what can I say? ;) I just need to stay away from hot flat irons when I have 2! LOL |
I always pop them... They hurt too much to not. I would pop it, peroxide and bandage. |
Too tempting to pop, but I wouldn't. Your skin is your body's best dressing. |
I try not to break a burn blister. I find they are more painful. I did the same thing to my thumb about a month ago. I didn't pop it. It healed fairly fast. |
