I had the test at 4 yesterday. The stupid nurse would not let my DBF come in to help me focus. I did want to kick the guy.

Well the MRI showed that one of my herniated disks has now fractured and is floating in my body. :D. She said I have to go to see a surgeon.

Oh, Teri, I'm so sorry to hear that! Hope if you have to have surgery, it can be the microsurgery, etc. Definitely not a good report. Is your pain really awful and going down the back of your leg, part of leg, foot numb, etc.

Were the EMG/NCS tests really awful? I only ask in case I need one or both and want to know what I'm facing.

Oh it was painful. I wanted to kick him lol This is my 4 time doing it. I look at it this way. If they can figure out what is wrong then I have to deal. I may not like it. But It it is what it is.

I'm really sorry to hear that. I'd hoped technology could make it easier and is it true you can't have pain Rx or anything B4 it?

No you can not take any pain meds. They want to see how your nerves react

I have two appts. The Dr recommended by my pain management dr is on Tuesday. The second opinion is actually on Thursday. He was only in this office 2x a month. They were like how is Thursday. I was like wow that is quick. I am glad though. So I can get info quick as possible and also not keep thinking about things.

I would kill to find a good pain management Dr.... All of them here are just drug kickback greedy dr's that don't care about you they just care about kickbacks from the companies that they force drugs on you.

She is great. She is not a pushy med Dr

My daughter who is 29 just had back surgery yesterday morning, they removed her L4 & L5 disc, she is doing ok but in alot of pain :( I was very
impressed with her surgeon, he said she should be about 85 % pain free after healing time, I wil be praying for you, I hope you get relief. it took us 10 yrs to decide to finally have the surgery, my prayers are with you ~

Wow I hope she she gets that 85%. That is big. Mine is 14.5 year injury. I am at a point that I have no choice. It has to be done. Where did she get it done, if you do not mind me asking?

I am so tired going to doctors. . . Back to pain management Dr. . . .not to brite I forgot to ask for some meds when I was there. I was a little stunned the last time. She came in told me I needed surgery then finished the EMG and then left. . .
