....with the flu....Have been in bed since New Years Day.....I am trying to do right and take all the medicine that everyone says I need to be on....Day-Quil during the day, Ny-Quil overnight, and I throw Mucines-DM in there too, along with breathing treatments and antibiotics to prevent pneumonia, which I get every year. My complaint is about the SIZE of these dam pills....They need to make them 2 freakin inches long, rather than just 1 inch long!!!! I have given dairy cattle pills smaller than these things!!! I think they are actually trying to kill us off....you kow, all us sick ones.....survival of the fittest thing....If I strangle to death trying to swallow one of these pills the size of a shot gun shell, PLEASE, everyone on here join in a class action lawsuit againstthe drug companies for deliberately making pills with intent to strangle. They can make micro chips the size of a grain of rice, that contains you entire medical history, all your medicines, all your doctors, and all your cntact info, stored on it.....but they have to make these pills the size of shotgun shells for us to swallow.........sorry,......... I am going back to bed.......

I was wondering where you had been. I hate swallowing pills also. And agree why can't they make them smaller. Take care of yourself. And hope you feel better very soon

I have no idea why they need to make pills so got dang big...
When I had my last boy..(c-section) they wanted me to drink prune juice...yuck...So since I wouldn't drink the stupid juice they decided they were going to give me an enema...the thing was the size of an otrich egg :eek:, I seriously had to ask where they were planning on putting that thing...'insert that where'???? Needless to say I drank the prune juice...

In our area the flu is really hitting hard even for people who have had the flu shot. Yesterday I had four patients call to say they were sick a d could not come in for their appointment

Jay, even in Northern Ky., all the bugs are hitting hard. Bad year for flu, I guess.

AND you missed your calling dear...COMEDIAN!!!!! You are funny! This was highly entertaining tho I am sorry to hear you are not feeling well. I too am very very prone to pneumonia whenever I come down with a flu. I feel you, girl! Take care...one of my favorite things to take is this thing called "Emergen-C", it's a powder with all kinds of healthy stuff and it seems to do the trick for me...and BOY can I be a sickly one. Since that came into my life I'm not so prone to anything but wellness ;) Take care of yourself and happy New Year :)

I know, it is even the meds you take everyday like vitamins and fish oil. Omg it is nuts. And if they say you can't swallow that you need to take two of these, they are smaller, but there is two almost the same size.

Hoping that you are better soon, I know so many that are sick with the flu now

Oh my Jusy I am so sorry you got this damn Flu. It is horrible. Did you not get any of the Tamiflu RX to take? This works really well.

I remember back in 2009 I got the H1N1 Flu Virus and I even had the darn Flu Shot but still got the damn flu. I swear I picked up that flu at Wal Mart, with all the sick kids being dragged around with their moms shopping. LOL
I swear I was going to die I felt so horrible. It lasted almost two weeks for me.

Just keep drinking lot's of fluids and PLEASE stay in bed. Praying you feel better real soon.

Oh no! Hoping you feel better real soon! Reports here in Maryland that the ERs are filling up with sick people... They send them home and tell them to drink plenty of fluids and take aspirin or Tylenol to control the aches and fever, oh, and to wash their hands alot.

Be prepared, I battled this for the last 3 weeks and required intravenous fluids for a couple days...I finally feel half way normal... not well, but better. I missed all the holidays....

I will pave the way for the lawsuit (could def. use some cash) as soon as the autopsy is done:eek::D omg, we are awful...or I am awful...lol

Also, the mucinex made me so sick I thought I was going to die, Nyquil day, Nyquil night blah, blah,, blah...I think the most important thing Is the fever/pain reducer...body aches are awful.

Pretty sure I got it yesterday as I hurt, am literally freezing in an 85 degree room as the central heat grinds constantly, with a heated throw over me and Tibbe lying on my icicle feet, nose dripping like a faucet and I think I feel something sliding down back of my throat, hurt all over and coughed up ickiness in the wee hours, headache, eyes hurt, back and hip are beyond pain - they don't throb, they explode. Owwwwwwww. And I had the flu shot in September! But it hit yesterday and decided to stay on I guess.

I agree with you on those small cars they call capsules and softgels, these days! And then I have some other pills so very tiny I literally fumble them every time I try to pick one up, can't even feel it go down! But mostly with a lot of today's medicine, especially some OTC capsules, if you added wheels, you could drive them.

I sure hope you start feeling better soon and maybe it will be a signal to me how this is gonna go and whether I should go online and hire a hitman to end my misery ASAP.

I pray everyone gets better soon. I got my first flu shot this past fall...I hope it keeps the flu at bay. I miss seeing you all on YT.

Oh, I'm so sorry you have this horrible flu. I know several that have had this thing and it's a rough one for sure. Rest all you can, sending prayers you feel better soon. :ghug:
