The snow younfolksmare getting now or soon is sipposemtomhit us on the 26th.
Claim won't know what to think. She has not seen much of the white stuff in her life !

I hope everyone gets a white Christmas if you are wanting one. That's so cool!

As for us in Alabama - they are calling for very severe weather and tornado/super cell threats in late afternoon and thru evening hours. We had some bad tornadoes in April of 2011 that killed hundreds of people and they are comparing it to that sort of set-up. They say "not quite as bad, but bad." Yay - gotta love Alabama weather.

I'm supposed to go to my sister's house in the next town and my niece (who is very special to me - on lung transplant list for almost 3 years now) has begged me to come. I'm so at a loss right now. I don't want to let her down - each day with her is a gift. I just don't want to leave my dogs at our house if tornadoes break out. And, there will be a lot of people, including 3 little ones, so I'm not comfy taking Mandie.

Any advice on that??

Can you call your sister and ask her if there is a room in the house you can lock her in? If not ask her if you can bring a slide bolt for a room and take them with you? Its your sister, I'm sure she won't mind?

You know what..come to think of it, her oldest daughter moved out last summer when she got married. AND that room has a door to a bathroom (pee pad spot, no? ). Great thinking! Yeah, she'll go for it. She knows that my dogs are the only niece and nephew she has :)

It will all work out just take them with you, enjoy your beautiful niece, have your babies safe! Enjoy!

It's a deal! We'll make merry on YT as the snow falls. Right now, I just woke up from a nap and it is raining like crazy here. Guess it's all starting. I'll bet your hot toddy has you fast asleep now - at least I hope so! CU later. I'm about to turn off TV and listen to an audio book by Alice Taylor An Irish Country Christmas by the Christmas tree lights!

Aww, thank you for caring. It will not be the same without Danny or my sister, sadly. But we have the love all around us of the One whose Birthday we celebrate!

Ugh! I hate thunderstorms and dangerous weather. Hope that some colder air will stop any rotations and such from forming at all.

I am glad to read that you have a way to take your babies with you as you spend the holiday with your sister and that wonderful little niece. Bless her little heart - may she gets her miracle soon! It is the season of hope and miracles. Hug her and her mom for me! :)

It's raining this morning with only trace amounts of snow forecast for later today but you never know with the weather. It's thundering a bit.

Danny says he's going to try to make it!!! I'm so excited but a little worried. It's bone dry in Oklahoma where he is so he is hoping he can beat the sleet and snow before it hits later this morning. I told him 3 times to turn back if he runs into any any any bad weather. Please pray he and all our families traveling today will make it safely to their destinations for Christmas.

We woke up to about an inch and a half of white snow, very pretty, we have a white Christmas here in NW new jersey.. Merry Christmas to all..

Our 'White Christmas' consists of a sporatic (as in: I can see snow in the yard of the house down the street), light dusting of snow left over from our first snow a few days ago...and that's just fine with me! :D

I do enjoy the beauty of a White Christmas but, now that I'm older and actually have to go out in the stuff...I'd prefer to see it on The Weather Chanel or evening news.

It looks like this storm is going south of us...for those in the path of the snow and storms...stay safe.
