I am sick...
 
I have been battling???? nagging cough, feeling lousy, off and on fever....I am currently taking Cipro and just bought some mucinex liquid, took it and now I need some pepto bismo for the stomach ache it gave me...yuck...I feel so lousy, been going on over a week....dr. told me that this is going around like this and that it lasts for awhile...I'm really sick of being sick...Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I'm sorry you are sick :( What a bad time of year to feel crummy. I hope you feel better soon!

Oh, Lynzy, I'm so sorry that you feel so bad at Christmas! Is the weather where you are really bad, too? It seems especially awful to be really feeling punk at Christmas and when the weather is cold and sleeting/snowing/raining. I was hurting really bad today like I had the flu or something and have some drainage and pray I'm not coming down with something. Here in North Texas we're expected to have really bad weather the next two days so I sure don't want to get sick in bad weather at Christmas.

Hope you feel better tomorrow! Stay in bed and rest as much as you can!

its very cold here in Western NY...near Buffalo. I just can't shake it, I really, really don't care about Christmas at this point other than what it is meant to be...Jesus....I just don't have it in me...I'm content to just stay home in my PJ's and don't feel sorry for myself!!! I just want to get better.

Thanks for the kind wishes, and I hate to be a downer but be careful that you are not coming down with it your describing how I started....be prepared and make sure you don't buy liquid mucinex...I thought it would work better and faster than the pills and it is tearing my stomach up.....blech....

I'm so sorry you are feeling crappy, Lynzy! It really is going around. It's been making it's way all over Alabama the past month or so. I had it on Thanksgiving and it lasted over a week and a half.

Get as much rest as you can and for the cough, let me tell you what worked for me best (after a couple of Rx's)...a pharmacist recommended it and I swear by it now. Ricola DUEL Action cough drops. Only the duel action. I'd do a commercial for free. Also, no dairy products (makes mucous worse) and drink plenty of fluids that don't have caffeine.

Praying you'll feel better soon!

After a couple days on antibiotics they tear my stomach up something awful- protect yourself and take or get some probiotics as soon as you can!

Crap I just bought 2 bags of "The Original"...the rx is open tomorrow I will get the duel. Thank you, will quit the coffee (caffeine) and drink more water...I am drinking lots of water already though...NO DAIRY...got it! Thank you. I will try anything at this point.

hmmm, good point, I will get some at rx tomorrow. Its hard to think straight when you feel so lousy, hadn't thought of this. I feel like the lining of my stomach is gone, at this point. I have 0 appetite.

Hi Sweet Lyndsey,
I had that very cough and crud you are having. I went on the zithromax and did not want that mucinex. So I took the Robitusson and it seemed to help me. Just rest and drink water and pray to get better. It is a very anoying cough and cold. I will pray for you to get better soon!

Thanks hon, the cough is nonstop and violent...pee pants violent!!! so not funny...I've been afraid to spend too much time lying down don't want to catch pneumonia...I will NEVER take Mucinex again...I'm sitting here drinking pepto on top of it. For a bit I was thinking "is this chest pain or nausea or both" scared myself....its calming down a bit now...blech.

Am putting a call into the dr. in the a.m. for Zpack...I think your right...this other stuff is just making me feel worse...its been going on for over a week...many people in my building have it...just awful, I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

I totally know what you mean about the "pee pants" violent. I'll tell ya...I went thru 1 1/2 pkgs of pads during that time. *sigh* (yes, I just admitted that on a world-wide forum lol)

LOL I keep a package of Depends just for times like this, thanks heavens I haven't been sick in two years.

Lyndsey feel better soon. It's horrible be sick this time of year.
