I wanted you guys to be aware of a few trojan viruses that somehow slipped past my Virus scan, and Firewall :eek: ...I just spent the past few hours on the phone with Dell, because my anti-virus provider is closed on the weekend...Please be careful!! :mad:

I've had a couple that have tried to slip by but my Mcafee cleans them. But you're right...there are so many out there. Thanks for the warning!

I'm working on yet another FREE antivirus too - I've recently had problems and had AVG Free Anti Virus installed.... I've used it 3 years and never had a problem till lately.

The net just SUCKS lately with all the BS your computer can catch. I'm starting to think the people who make all the programs are also inventing all the viruses and stuff - the net is FULL of sweepers - spy removal tools and virus removal tools - who actually knows where they all come from ?

it could be a conspiracy :D

Anyone know of something CHEAP that will help ?

Freebies I use are AVG and Spy Subtact. I found these to not interupt or screw up my programs like some others do.

McAfee is closed on the weekends....I had to pay dell, $99.00 to help me get rid of my bug!..We reset my computer back to Thursday afternoon...So it is working great! Thanks

It makes me sooo mad everytime I hear somebody's computer getting a virus/worm!!! I would like to know who takes the time to ruin something that is important to soo many!!! I hope your computer is ok!

My laptop had a virus in it--and had the qeek squad out to do some repair work. Grrrrrr! I am on my hubbys desktop now! I hate this thing!!! Unfortunately, my laptop is still out of commision and I am very upset about it! I cant't even open any window on it at all. So, now we have to either send it out or just buy another one. ggggggrrrrrrrr

It sounds like you had the same problem that I did..do you remember the website you were on when it started acting funny...Mine was called the blrhn.dll worm/bug...It attached itself to my files, so once I started deleting them like I was told, I got hosed.

I wish I knew also, I had my idenity stolen back in April(it was horrible) That time it was my fault. They used my card to buy, cell phones, phone cards etc..they tried to establish residence at my house by getting mail sent in their name here...What saved me was 1, they were using my info in different countries(ie..South Africa, Vietnam, France, and Ireland.) Their names were able to be traced back to real people(HOW STUPID)...I thought everything was cleared up until the mail kept coming...Every other day, I was at the FBI office in Baltimore County, our poor mail man told me the first two times to put return to sender on them..But, I started getting afraid, so I used the FBI fraud number, I got from the card company. :(

I am so grateful, this morning could have been so much worse!!!
