My Church-God is GOOD
 

My DH and I have been having trouble making ends meet since I was forced into retirement due to poor health at the age of 64. My church, a very small struggling Bible church, has helped us out since March, 2013, with over $3000!! It helped me to keep COBRA insurance for a while so I was still able to see the doctor for my health problems, till we had to let it go a few months ago. It also kept food on the table more than once.

This morning, a lady from our church pulled up with bags and bags and bags of food and paper products, including a beautiful Boar's Head Ham! We don't have room for everything in the cupboard!!

Grace Bible Church is the first church I have attended in my life that practices what they preach. They are the most loving and kind and faithful friends anyone could ask for. They have helped George and I when we felt like giving up, sometimes having $10 for a week and a check would turn up in the mail.

I am sharing this first of all to share how good God is and second, to encourage others that may be going through similar trials. For a tiny church that struggles to print the bulletins on a Sunday morning, they share not only with us but support a multitude of missions, both foreign and here in the US.

I wish everyone had a Grace to encourage them in times of discouragement. For those of you who are young and things are still going well (believe me, your body starts falling apart eventually), you may not understand yet....but someday you will.

It is truly a blessing to read of the goodness of folks. I am so sorry you have been through such a bad time of it but the Lord has truly seen you through with His hands here on earth. What a great story, I love to hear about churches like this instead of the ones where the minister is stealing money and cheating on his wife. I hope you and your husband see better times ahead, and hope you have a wonderful Christmas!

Isn't He amazing! When you think you can't endure the storm any longer He will reach down and cradle you in his arms. It sounds like you are blessed to have wonderful Christian people in your life. Sometimes we need a beautiful story o remind us just how awesome our God is! Have a blessed Christmas!
