Black Friday Shoppers! Sooooo did anyone do any Black Friday shopping? Bf and I went to Best Buy. We arrived at 10:15 and the line was already wrapped around the back of the building. I felt better after seeing tons of people show up late and the line behind us got pretty long. We weren't there for anything crazy like a TV, just some videogames that were going to be $35, instead of $60. We got in the store right at midnight and I asked an employee where the videogames were. Hurried over there because lots of people were actually full out running, and I spotted a Wii U, the new Nintendo console Tony has been wanting!!!! It was the last one left so I grabbed it while bf was grabbing the games he wanted. He didn't think he would get a Wii U before Christmas because it's been sold out everywhere..so I got it for him! He is SO excited!!!! Check out didnt take long and the cashier said they told everyone there wouldnt be any Wii U's for sale tonight...I guess one was hiding and I spotted it!! Lucky us! What deals did y'all score? Or am I the only crazy YTer that was out there tonight? :D |
No Black Friday shopping for me:p Glad you scored with the Wii U for Tony. My son and DIL went to the early sales that started at 8pm and stood in line for a laptop that Kerra is getting from The guy in the red suit. |
i just did some online black friday shopping :) . Doggiecouture is having a 35% off everything sale !!! my babies got a new wooflink dog carrier, and some designer hoodies :) |
Not me. I'm still at home drinking coffee. :) |
No......I am too old for all that....dont like moving that fast anymore! Besides, I have all my shopping already done...do it all year when the sales come up...get just as good mark offs, and in some cases, better than what is offered on Black Friday...I got a 52 inch flat screen TV (Samsung) for $280.00 back in ...?? September ??? something around Labor Day Sale ???...cant remember! Anyway, the last time I stood in a line outside a store to get in on a sale was "Mid-Night March Madness" back in 1972!! I am into simple and quick and easy and NO crowds and NO TRAFFIC!!! I shop on line and get super deals, with free shipping! Loving it!! |

I do not do Black Friday. Worked retail can't do it. Also I am protesting the opening on Thanksgiving. Retail workers only get a few days off a year with their families. Now they are messing with one of them. Not right. But that is just me. |

Me and my friend went for the heck of it, her son does not want hardly anything because they are building a house and he said that was the only thing he wanted and both our men have everything so we just ended up buying bras lol |
Congrats on the Wii find! You all got what you went for and sounds like you kind of enjoyed it all! I've never gone to those kind of sales and hate lines! Today, I slept until 9:24 a.m., had a late, late breakfast and did make-up/hair as usual and am going to lounge all day on the couch and take a leisurely walk with Tibbe later today. I hate the huge lines of stopngo traffic and lack of parking at the mall on Black Friday. Ohmygoodness, the parking is usually only on the last tier all day and evening! If you are lucky enough to find a spot close, it is fun once you get inside but not if you are buying anything. The lines are pretty brutal at the register, even in Macy's, etc. So, I'm going to wait until the crowds are gone and shop at a more relaxed pace. Yawn! Can't wait to see the evening news and stories of the mobs crowding everywhere, all the traffic, etc. - love watching those. It says Christmas Season is officially here! |
Maybe this day and time, today is a good way to stay away from some large crows of shoppers! Wow! Black Friday Violence: 2 Shot Outside Florida Walmart, Scuffles Across U.S. - ABC News  |
Crazies |
Funny thing is we got parking right at the front, granted I have disabled parking pass and the longest line we waited in was maybe 5 minutes. |

Because of my anxiety I can't although i really wanted to go to Petsmart at 7am when they opened but my mom didn't want to take me so I didn't get to go. I think it is getting way to out of hand and way to many people get hurt. |
I had loads of fun shopping on Black Friday (and Black Friday Eve)!! Waited in line for 2 hours for an xbox for my grandson (huge savings.... wouldn't have been able to get it for him if it wasn't at a doorbuster price). Also got a Dsi XL for another grandson. A Spynet video watch (which is really cool, by the way :D ), a Blue ray player for a SIL, 2 relic watches for SIL's, 3 timex watches, a fireproof safe, nikon camera, a soccer goal, and lots of clothing items (Love shopping at Kohl's). I seen a little bit of craziness, but no fights or violent stuff :sfunslap:.... but I have heard some horror stories on the news! Some people make it out to be a "do or die" situation..... I just get out early, wait in line and if I succeed, I do , and if I don't... I guess I pay the bigger price or look for something else! :grinningelf: I know I saved a bundle..... and these things were on my Christmas list BEFORE the BF sales ads came out!! YAY! I was very thankful to get them at such a good price AND stay within budget! Yesterday afternoon, I started wrapping and should finish up today!!! :presents2: |
I work in retail and found it to be crazier on Thanksgiving than black Friday. We had to call the police on one guy and our store made National News because they said there was a stabbing at our store and that didnt happen. We just had a guy go ballistic and the police had to be called. The store was turned into a big mess though and it took alot of work to get it all cleaned and straightened up. I went in there today to pick up some things and they were not real busy |

I was excited this was my first black friday shopping lol. my sister, cousin, and I went to sears at first and got in line at 5 the line wasnt as long as we thought. So we are standing there and the man comes out and say they only have 6 tvs when they are really suppose to have 100. Talking about mad:mad: lol. So we left and went to target and got in line. When I say the line was so short. We were so happy but we waited in line for 3 hours then the doors opened and we went to get a tv for my mom and a game system for my sister husband. we even helped this lady get the things she needed. Before you knew we was at the front of the store checking out. We was the first ones to check out lol:D. I think we beat our own time because we were headed back to the car and in 7 mins.... |
I went out last year, the kids wanted iPod Touches... they were on sale at Best Buy and Target for the same price. LUckily one of our kids drove and the stores were about 4 miles apart... so the kids went to best buy and stood in line at 10pm, we went to Target and stood in line. We had a BLAST! We made friends, chatted with people for hours. We took turns driving back and forth between the 2 stores to bring each other hot coffee/chocolate. In the end the kids got into Best Buy first, called us to say they had no iPods left, so we told them to head straight to Target, they would open in a few mins. They got there and within mins, they were racing inside. They each got their iPod for a VERY good price and we got $50 gift cards with the purchase. :) The fun part was making them wait until Christmas for the gift they KNEW they were getting!!!! LOL We had a great time last year though seriously. I don't mind crowds, it's sooo energizing! But this year, there was nothing that the kids mentioned wanting and there were no real door buster prices that made me say I need to get out and go at 10pm. I checked every ad with a fine tooth comb.... but nothing! Stayed home, slept good and saturday I went out ALL day shopping with my bro's girlfriend, we were out for 10 hours and most stores told us the prices that day were the same as black friday prices, but the crowds were a lot smaller. :) |
