IDK...my DIL said if she doesn't hear anything by noon she is calling them ;):p

Thank you all for the votes..but Kerra didn't win the contest. They wouldn't tell her who won.. If its #6 I am gonna be so upset.

I am sorry for Kerra it is a hard lesson of the entertainment business. Many times the person with the best talent does not get the opportunity because of the politics.

I agree and it is a good experience for her. She is auditioning for a production of Aladin at a local theater company tonight. Hopefully she will get a part in that. She was cast in one of their plays before.

I was hoping this wouldn't happen. It's such a hard lesson to learn at Kerra's age; even at my age, it's difficult when things aren't just.

I really am sorry you were hurt, Michele and Kerra. You had so many people rooting for you, really believing in you. You're going to do great at your audition tonight.

Oh, shoot! Shoot! Shoot! Shoot! That's just wrong! Kerra clearly had the best voice and styling. I am so bummed for that lovely child with the exquisite voice & can only think that though she didn't win this contest, she's got many wonderful wins in life ahead of her with all her personality, character and amazing talent. Give her a hug for me if you would!

Oh No! Such a shame because she was clearly the best. I can't believe they wouldn't tell your daughter who won. The other contestants at least deserve to know. I believe when one door closes another one opens and hopefully that open door will be her audition tonight. Good Luck Kerra!

What a beautiful sweet young lady Kerra is. Like all the rest said, I am sad that Kerra didn't win, I truly believe she had the best voice of the top 6 contestants. As cat2861 wrote "one door closes, another one opens" One of the 3 sayings I live by. The first saying I live by is "everything happens for a reason". Sometimes loosing is a good thing, it teaches to accept and handling the loss. I hope her audition for a Aladin goes well and she gets the part. I know it's kinda late to say "I wish her the best of luck" in tonight's audition.

I agree that things happen for a reason. It's hard to believe that when you are in the midst of the situation, but can usually see it when you look back on it. Kerra is a sweet & talented young lady, I'm sure she will have much success in the future!

Thanks to all of you for the sweet comments ..Kerra is handling the loss really well. Lol better than the rest of us :D
I know things happen for a reason. Kerra's mom said ,maybe the person who won really needed the money. Either way Kerra gave it her best and so did we all with voting. It was a good experience for her. She has to learn you aren't always the winner.

Kerra got a call from the casting director for Aladdin! She was selected for singing parts and to be one of the main narrators of the play..this means more than the contest! She's so excited

OMG...That is BS...Why put everyone and their friends & family through voting and then waiting for results for them to pick whoever they want. Why vote then, because it doesn't seem to make a difference. They said in the article that there were more than 600,000 votes but they sure didn't say who had the most votes. I wonder how did they go about picking her. What criteria did they use to pick the winner. Such a shame!

I'm calling the newspaper. Kerra may not have won anyways but they need to follow their own rules. The phone number is 423-581-5630 if anyone else who spent countless hours voting would like to call them.

I just got off the phone with the newspaper. The person who was #5 in votes was disqualified. He was an employee of an affiliate branch of the newspaper

If he wasn't a qualified contestant why did they leave him up for voting until the end of round 1....something smells fishy to me.

I totally agree. Why would they investigate it after the fact? If that's the case, they should have chosen from the top four. This is really unjust.
