I totally forgot why I spent so much time looking for this thread ... when I found it earlier, I got so caught up in voting and looking at all the beautiful Yorkie contestants, I forgot why I was searching for it!! [It's my mind I miss the most!! :rolleyes: ] Anyway ..... some of you remember some time back, I posted about our "Grandpup" Missy the Border Collie? We lovingly call her our "Dumpster Dog" because my son found her along with her tiny sibling in a big dumpster at the park! They were just thrown away like so much garbage! My animal loving son climbed down in that filthy dumpster and rescued them. Well, Missy will turn 10 years old this year! Her sweet face is turning white and although she still tries to jump high to catch a frisbee and perform all the neat tricks my son taught her, even Chris is beginning to admit that the absolute love of his life is getting old! :( We just think our babies are spoiled!! My "daughter-in-love" entered her in a contest sponsored by one of the local newspapers for Pet of the Year 2008!! Out of over 150 entries, she has made it to the top 25 and now it will be the top 12 of those who will be featured in their calendar!! Could I please, please impose on you all to go to the website and vote for Missy?? It would mean so very much to my son for her to be recognized. She is such a wonderful girl .... even saved my Mother's life once. The last few years of her life, my Mother woke every single morning to Missy's kisses and they snuggled a bit before Mother got up.

The Anniston Star will be producing a calendar featuring some of our area's most photogenic pets. We received over 150 submissions that were then painstakingly pared down to the Top 25 by our staff judges. Now we need your help to choose the final 12 pets that will be featured in the 2008 calendar.
Using the form below, you can vote for your top 5 favorite pet photos. Once all the votes have been tabulated, the 12 pets receiving the most votes will be featured in the pet calendar, and the pet receiving the most total votes will be named Pet of the Year for 2008!
