iPhone 5 vs. iPhone 4S
 
I just upgraded from the iPhone 4S to the iPhone 5. I loved the 4S and can't understand all the "hype" about the 5. Does anyone else have the iPhone 5 and can you tell me what wow factor you found with it? Yes, it has a bigger screen and webpages do load faster. The camera is better than the 4S and the phone is lighter but these are the only differences I can find. Maybe I'm just used to having an iPhone and don't notice all the differences. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the iPhone 5. I just want to know if there are some features I'm missing out on (and I consider myself pretty "techy.")

To be honest, there's NOT *that* many new things, IMO. Especially considering most of the new features could be added to a 4S when you upgraded your software.

I went from the 4 to the 5 because my whole back was completely shattered on my phone and I felt there were enough minimal differences going from the 4 to the 5. But I'd had the 4S, I wouldn't have spent the $$$ upgrading. For example, for me, I love having Siri, I love having the mic so you can talk what you want to type, I do love the lightness of it, and the bigger screen, and there were a few things you couldn't do on the 4 that you could do on the 4S and the 5.

So yeah ...

I don't plan to upgrade and from what I know, there's not really a huge difference. We're going to wait off on the new iPad as well.

What really want is the MacBook Pro. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the comments. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one that thinks there aren't many wow factors on the 5 that wasn't on the 4S. I LOVE Siri and I use my mic 99% of the time. I use the mic to reply to emails, texting, searching the Internet, anything and everything I can. But what I truly miss is my Mophie JuicePack Plus. It's a bit pricey but worth every penny spent on it. If you've not heard of them you should go to mophie.com and check them out.

My husband has one on his 4s and loves it. I would consider one if they came in colors other than black.

We have pretty much everything apple makes in this house in fact every phone lol well wait we sold our iPods. I used to have the JuicePack but we went on cruises and to the Bahamas a lot this year so we switched to LifeProof boxes since we are always in or near water.
We are just excited waiting for the Apple TV to be released.

I went from the 4 to the 5 and I'm with OP, I dont' "get" all of the hype. I love it, true, but it isn't all that crazy different, KWIM? DH and I love our Otterbox cases. He had a Ballistics for a while on his 4 but eventually ended up using one of my spare Otterboxes (I love changing up the colors!)

I personally hate the fact that any time I upgrade the previous phone cases won't fit. Same goes for the iPad. I like Apple but I'm also a windows user. It's good to know both. JMHO.

Yea the case issue is a pain, we are just waiting on the new 5 Life Proof case to come out. Now both our iPad 3s still have our cases we used on our 2s they kinda sorta fit lol

The LifeProof case looks awesome too. Just a little more than what I need. But definitely worth the money.

I have that if it can happen it will happen to me issue, so thank goodness I have the life proof case after my goddaughter knocked over her drink when we went out to eat... My phone lived thru the soda flood but her mom's sadly did not. So I have learned to just be over prepared lol
