LOL Like they say...there are never coincedences. ;) Love Chevy's! :D |
Wow! That's impressive! |
Stories like this is why we will ONLY buy Chevy trucks in our family:D Glad he was close to home when the old girl conked out. |
We have always been a Ford family and my Uncle just all of a sudden decided to get a Dodge truck one day so we kept making jokes about how it would die as soon as the warranty ended... sure enough at exactly ONE MILE past the warranty the engine went out in the middle of backwoods nowhere while headed to our family Thanksgiving dinner lol We own a mixture of both Chevy and Ford in our house.. 2 F150'S, Chevy dually, Chevy Kodiak, 1964 Impala and 1964 Convertible Impala |
Lol glad he didn't get stranded. |

great story and proff on buying American, my DH will be happy to hear this story, he works for GM. BTW your poor Dad I am surprised he is still holding up, working 7 days a week with an hour drive each way, that sure is a lot |
Transmissions are 500.00. New trucks are 25000.00 I'd replace the transmission and keep on driving it. |

My hubbys SUV is going on 3 years old this April. He has about 130K miles on it. He drives 65 miles each way to work now only 3 days a week but it used to be 5. We are keeping it until it dies... its 30K overdue for a timing belt and spark plug change though, its about a $700 job. I'm kind of mad at him for not having it done already. Not me, I'm a wimp.. I have a 2011 under full warranty with maintenance included. I'd rather have a payment than take a chance that I could break down somewhere dark and scary by myself in an older car! |
