Yes, starting to see them here, again! |
We are having an invasion of these little stinkers too!....I have been sucking up about 5-6 of them each night in my bedroom. |
Oh no! Not more critters!!! :thumbdown I don't think I know what these are.:confused: And from the sound of it, I hope I never do. I have my hands full with my own critters here! :(:( |
Oh gosh. Looks like we do have them where I live.:mad::thumbdown:thumbdown Yuck, another stinkin critter! I did find this: "Don't crush the adults as that will release their fowl odor which will actually attract more stink bugs. You can kill stink bug adults by knocking them into a container of soapy water.":eek::eek: |
I hate, hate, hate those little effers and they are absolutely everywhere right now! Yesterday a whole slew of them got into my classroom (no idea how, there are screens on the windows) and the kids started freaking out. I can't wait for them to be gone! |
We have them down here, too! Its harvest time for peanuts and some soy beans, and those nasty things seem to love them! We have 40 acres, and rent to a young farmer about 25 acres. He planted peanuts this year, and started the harvest process a few days ago. That same night, when I let the boys out, the scent of Eau de Stinkbug was overwhelming! Never noticed them being so bad in the past, and even the Boys were NOT liking it! I know next week when he finishes harvesting, the reek will be back and I'm not real happy. It will be the first time this season we can turn off the AC and open the windows for the cooler air, but not if it stinks!:mad: |
I found out if you squish them, they stink, bring more to where the smell is. I guess they like their own stink lol. . . . But I did find a great way to kill them with no stink. They don't like water. I have a plastic bottle (you can use any container) I filled it half way with water and put a couple of squirts of Dawn (great product). Mix well. I open the bottle and scoop up the stink bugs or u can hit them in with a pencil. They drown in the solution pretty quick. I gather a bunch. Let them die. Then flush them to a watery grave. It is working amazing. I have one container inside the house and outside. I know nutty but I figured if they are on the house they are just going to come in anyway. So might as well get them enforce they come in. |

I remember these from when I was a kid... But I haven't seen them in years. I wonder if they are still around here? |
I thought of this thread today when I saw "Stink Big Repellent" kits in the grocery store! |
Eww I hate stink bugs they gross me out!! |
I don't think we have them here, or if we do, they aren't around my house. Thank goodness!!! |

OH MY GOSH!!!! I can't take them anymore! The darn things won't go away. Its still fairly warm here in NH and they are still out in DROVES! :( :( HATE them! They are in my house all the time. I don't have stinky ones though. I squish them all the time and we flush them down the toilet. I haven't smelled them yet. My dogs did investigate one that I stepped on and backed up shaking their heads, so it must smell up close. They are harmless, they don't bite, aren't attracted by food really. Just annoying and BIG and flying EVERYWHERE! |
