update on dh Well I think I am being tried big time. We go back Nov 14 to see if dh foot is healing or not. He says it hurts like crazy he is probably putting 60 percent of weight on it. Still not sure if he will be keeping it or not :( He says if the pain is going to be this way for the rest of his life he may be better without it. He has not been able to work since last November. Thank goodness for family (I have a great family) I am positive 2013 is going to be a much better year for this family. Sometime we get pushed big time but I keep telling myself it makes us stronger and better. Right :) Anyway just a little update for the ones following my story. |
im sorry he is still having so much pain. that is very hard. i know exactly what you mean. my dh will not have a 4th surgery as it may leave him in a wheel chair and hes not ready to go that direction. i will continue to keep ur dh in my thoughts and prayers. it does make you stronger but that doesnt mean it still doesnt suck!! tough times are trying but you keep on keeping on! wishing you the best outcome. |
Im so sorry for you and your family. :( What a tough break on your husband. I'm really glad you have the support of your family to get you through this! I pray that he does not lose his foot and the pain goes away and healing really starts to happen for him. |
I am still praying for you and dh and that there will be some good answers & help for him. This has got to be so hard for you and tough for him to try to live with and the not working part is probably just about to get him down. Men just don't do well when they can't work and I hate to hear of them going through times like yours is. It just goes against their very nature. Poor guy - I pray his next year is brighter and better and he can get out of pain. And I know if he's having hard times, it is just awful for the wife. Here is hoping and praying 2013 is much better! |

thanks guys I know we all seem to have to go thru some hardships why who knows You could get all upset and down but what good would that do. We try very hard to be upbeat for him and it seems to be working so far. But some days I have my pity party and so does he |
I am sorry to hear he is still in much pain. I am still praying and thinking of you both. I so pray the pain will go away and it heals more. You two have been through so much. |
It really sounds like your poor hubby has been through the ringer. I would like to share a link with you that may be the answer to your prayers. I know it was to mine. I won't go into my long long journey with my shattered tibia/fibula - this is all about your hubby. If you will contact Dr. Terrells office I am sure that they could either help you or refer you to someone in the fellowship that treats extreme bone issues. Aww..Ann. Sorry to hear that he is still in pain. :( I know it's hard but he's a little better than last year right? The healing might be in small increments but he should get there. As we get older it just takes waaay longer to heal. Prayers, hope, and love is being sent your way. Keep your sanity...we are all hear(pun intended) for you! :) |

thanks everyone I have people ask how do you stay so positive I have to say what else can we do If we get down in the dumps it just makes it all that much harder on us. We still don't have it as bad as some. And this group is so awesome. Plus like I said earlier keeping updates on here has helped me remember dates I needed for paperwork. That was really nice. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend |
