Waistfull...I used to make monster cookies quite often when my kids were little! I'm so glad you posted that because I don't know if I still have the recipe! You are right...people of all ages love them! Schatzie...your cookies sound so yummy! I wonder where I could get some of those little mints! We no longer have a candy store here. If I can't find any before Christmas, I'll try your recipe later when I've gotten some of those candies! Yorkieangel...you cracked me up! LOL Melissa...okay...I'll put the sugar peanuts on here as per your request! LOL |
Okay...I know these aren't cookies, but they are a favorite holiday treat of my daughters. Sugared Peanuts 2 cups raw peanuts, 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup water Use heavy saucepan. Combine peanuts, sugar, and water and place over medium heat, cook. Keep boiling and stir until mixture crystallizes and coats peanuts, about 10 minutes. Spread in a buttered cookie sheet. Sprinkle with a little salt and put in 300 degree oven for 15 minutes. Stir them around and bake 15 minutes longer. Cool and store in covered container. |
Wow! This thread is turning into exactly what I had in mind!! Thanks everyone for posting! Anyone else? I am SURE there are some more cookie bakers out there! Let's see your favorite recipe! mmmmmmmmmmmmmm cookies..... :p |
Well, they aren't exactly cookies, but they're awesome: Oreo Balls 1 pkg cream cheese 1 pkg Oreo cookies 1 pkg white chocolate chips Take cream cheese out of fridge to soften. Crush pkg of Oreos in blender or food processor. Put Oreo crumbs and cream cheese into a bowl and mash together (with hands) until completely mixed. Make balls out of mixtures and place onto a cookie sheet. Put in freezer for about 20 minutes to harden. Melt 1/3 of chips and coat balls. Repeat until all are covered. Keep refrigerated. To make them festive, you can use red and green colored chips, or use white chocolate and drizzle red and green chocolate on top. Here are some pointers about making these: -Nestle white chocolate chips taste much better than store-brand chips- especially Walmart brand (for some reason) -Smaller balls are better because they are quite rich (maybe about 1 1/2") -You may want to freeze the balls between each round of coating with chocolate chips. If they sit out, they soften and are harder to coat (the hot chocolate melts them and they begin to look like cookies and cream ice cream!) - They are a HUGE hit and highly addicting, so make sure that you make large quantities if bringing to a party!! |

My fave cookie recipe is... Go to store. Buy prepackaged cookie dough! Bring home! Preheat oven to temp it says on package! Slice the cookie dough! Bake for amount of time it calls for! Let cool!!!! Enjoy!!! By the way--theycome in many wonderful flavors!!! Hahahahahah!!!! |
One of my friends was selling frozen cookie dough for her daughter (some kind of fnd raiser) and I bought some gingersnap cookie dough. Haven't tried it yet, but how could it be wrong? :p |
