Kerra Wowed the crowd again Sound isn't great...microphone didn't work and the acoustics in the gymnasium were horrible...but I am so proud of my baby girl that I have to share:p She was singing at the schools volleyball game and the basketball coach asked her to sing The National Anthem for the basketball games too. |
What a little cutie she is. I can see her lots better in this closer view & she's cute as a button, not to mention what a wow voice for such a young lady. |

WOW what a voice, she was so good, funny you said she was nervous because I was thinking she looked it, but then that big applause came and the smile she broke into was priceless you could see how happy she was and knew the crowd loved it. It takes guts for someone that young to sing like that in front of schoolmates. Who in her family is a singer, usually a voice like that is inherited, is she in voice lessons. I love our National Anthem and this one brought a big smile to my face and a good start to my day:cool: makes me think back to my elementary school days, I so wanted to be in the choir in Catholic School, just about everyone that tried out made it, but not me, I remember the nun saying, Dear we will call you when we need your type of voice, I was confused by that statement and asked my mom what that meant, she tired to explain nicely that I could not carry a tune, then I remember Carol Killeen, the star with all the solos, how I wished I could sing like her. Give your GD a big kiss and tell her how special she is, LOL I bet you do that all the time:D |

Donna thanks so much for your sweet comments:) My husbands maternal side of the family all have some type of natural musical talent so we think Kerra inherited it from them. She has been singing for us since she could talk. It would always amaze me when she could pick up and keep time with a music box no matter where in the song it would begin to play and this was when she was about 2 years old....I know for a fact she didn't get any talent from me...I can't sing worth a flip:D Kerra does have a voice coach ,who came to her mom and asked if she could tutor her. She normally only takes on students who are at least 12 or 13 years old. She heard her sing last year in her school talent show and really wanted the opportunity to work with her. Her voice coach is really helping to bring out her natural talent and she told us that she cannot wait until Kerra's vocal cords mature. |
OMGosh! The National Anthem is not an easy song to sing... she sounded better than many professionals I've heard try to do it! Reserve me a ticket on that jet!:D |
