So I was just told.... Hubby is going to Vegas this weekend with his daughter. She's turning 21. No. I'm not going even though I was invited. I feel like since this is his from a precious marriage, a daddy-daughter weekend would be great for the both of them. Even though no one does Vegas better than me, I'm fighting the urge to intrude. God help me! However.... Think about this... My DH (you've all heard enough about him that you can imagine his character) and his 21 year old daughter (somewhat of a responsible - sorta- wild child) will be in Vegas for 3 days unsupervised.... Oh dear! What's the over/under that something dramatic happens? Stay tuned for more.... |
Oh NO... But if you dont go Who will tell of his Shenanigans? Noone can tell a story like you can. I look forward to them. Heres wishing them a safe and uneventful trip. :D  |
Shoot, you should go and document their antics for us LOL Should be interesting and hopefully no one gets hurt! Seriously, though, I think it's very unselfish of you to bow out and let them have this little bonding time:love: |
It helps that his daughter and I don't exactly adore each other. We more or less tolerate each other out of respect for her father. I learned a long time ago when it comes to raising kids, if they don't have your genes, keep your opinion to yourself. Stepping in between a parent and their child is a recipe for war. I'm one of those weird parents that thinks a child should be respectful to adults, use manners, be gracious and thankful and use their money for stuff they want instead of asking parents to foot the bill. She's one that expects Daddy to give it to her so she can spend her money on whatever she wants. In any case, I could have gone without issue but partying in Vegas with a bunch of 20 something year olds isn't a good idea for me. I don't recover from hangovers like I used to! |
