Medical alert systems I am looking to get one of the medical alert systems for my mom. Does anyone have any experience with or know anyone that does have experience with one. I'm not sure which one is the best. I heard these names, Life Stage; Life Line; Life Alert; Medic Alert. Going on line just confused me a little more so I thought I would check here and see if anyone could help me. Thanks, Jan |
I don't have one but I probably could use one. I fell outside in January and I couldn't get up right away. I was waiting laying on the gravel, wondering if I'd be able to get up in a few, or how long it would take for someone to come by and see me! I thought it would be nice to have one of those life alert thingies, but then I thought if I did have one, I probably would have left it in the house! And bump! |
I don't know if its the best but we got my grabdma life alert. She used it accidently once while sleeping hit the button her phone ringer was off so the police at her door woke her from her nap I thonk their response tine was decent and they called me as her emergency contact within 20not minutes. |
We got one for my Dad when I was taking care of him but he lived alone. I can't remember which one it was but we were able to program it to call my cell, if no answer, my home phone, if no answer my sister and then to my brother. If he pushed the button on the necklace it would call me and give him 15 seconds to speak to us. He did accidently set it off on many occassions but it did help when he did need us. I think you could also call the police but we were afraid he'd be calling them accidently all the time. The one we got was around 100.00 and we were very happy with it. I will try and look up which one it was for you. |
Don't know too much a out it but several folks at my mothers assisted living use one from Walmart - they say it it more reasonable. |
