What do you guys think of this healthy guarantee? Personally, I find it quite amusing! This came from a kennel that breeds 7 different breeds of dogs. Health guarantee... The puppy is guaranteed to be in good health at the time of delivery. Pups need to see your vet for a wellness checkup within 48 hours from the date of pick up. Then call us with the results for your file... THIS IS MANDATORY. We do not guarantee against low blood sugar, ear mites, worm, tick or fleas all of these isues are treated here, but getting a 100% clean pup anywhere is almost unheard of. Any vet bills encountered by the buyer once the pup has been delivered is the responsability of the new owner. Pups are are exchanged in the first 48 hours if all of the following requirements are met. (This Includes Refunds) 1. The puppy is said to be unacceptable by a Vet within 48 hours of pickup. 2. There must be a written statement explaining the problem. 3. The Puppy must be returned alive within 48 hours. ( If original delivery was by air and the return is required the transportation is not refundable). 4. We do not exchange or guarantee against hypoglycimic problems. We do not guarantee against Kennel Cough. We do not guarantee against Coccidia. No guarantee has been made or implied about the puppy's worthiness for breeding or showing. The purchase is for a pet only... additionally there is no guarantee for the size or color, or the quality of coat when the dog reaches adulthood. Lastly there is no guarantee on the standing of ears when you get the pup home. Some ears need to be taped and trained for several weeks to get them to stand on their own, and some never stand , this not a congenital defect. |
This is quoted from their sales contract... THE SELLER DOES NOT ASSUME ANY ADDITIONAL LIABILITY FOR POSSIBLE GENETIC DEFECTS IN THE PUPPY AND WILL UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES BE RESPONSIBLE FOR VETERINARY BILLS RESULTING FROM ANY SUCH CONDITION. ANY VET BILLS ENCOUNTERED BY THE BUYER ONCE THE PUP IS DELIVERED IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE NEW OWNER. SALES CONTRACT |
my response... to put it mildly...is.... WTF??? it looks like they only guarantee that the puppy be "alive" at time of delivery, not necessarily "well". or is that not guaranteed either? |
I know...it's scary what some breeders will try to pull over your eyes. The yorkies were pretty sad looking, too. :( |
i just saw pics of two of their yorkie dame's: baby and buffy... can you say skinny and sickly looking??!! |

It seems that the only part of this guarantee that I continued to read is "no guarantee" This clearly shows in my opinion the lack of care, pride, devotion, and dedication to her breeding program. Shame. :( |
OMG !! I just looked, and double ditto WTf!!! Baby and Buffy look bad enough, but the empty eyes on some of the other breeds are just as bad!! And they have the nerve to state that the camera loves them!!!! Poor babies!! Kimberley, why aren't you taking a nap!?!!! |
Gee they barely guarantee that the baby will be alive....how sad...and the reality is that there are people so desperate that they will still buy from them...how awful |
I think that after looking at the sire and dam of what they are trying to sell, the last thing I'd want to see is their contract!!! Except for maybe making sure no one I ever knew of or for that matter, ever heard of, has anything to do with these people!! The condition of the eyes on that one female was awful. Ok, maybe they don't have a good camera, or maybe they didn't see the pics before they were posted  . I for one. would have shut down the website until I found someone who could take better pictures than that!! And, the contract basically said that they guarenteed nothing to be guarenteed!! Gosh, don't tell them about YT!!! They'd want help, and I don't think anyone would treat them too kindly!! :thumbdown Suz |

There's a yorkie on there named Megan! |
That is unreal.. :thumbdown The contract is one thing ~~ the dogs are another... how horrible. :( :( Does anyone live close enough to check this place out?? The dogs look terrible. How sad. If pictures are any indications of what is going on, they may need to be reported... :thumbdown |
"But getting a 100% clean pup anywhere is usually un-heard of" Whatever! They are basically saying to the Buyer that they are not responsible for ANYTHING once the puppy leaves them. They obvisoulsy don't care about their puppies life long well being. Nothing mentioned of a right of first refusal either. That is a huge part of my contract. I want to make sure my baby will come back to me if the new owner can't keep it for any reason. This is a must for me. I just don't understand some folks...and that is a poor contract without the puppies best interest in mind. :thumbdown |
How sad for those puppies - That's one of the sickest contracts I've seen...basically they're saying "Buy a puppy from us... and you're on YOUR OWN" |
oh, and get this. they say "Always working to improve the lives of our four legged children...it is all about their happiness." but the only photo of their facilities is a big bulldozer? you gotta wonder.... |

on a totally different breeder website, i saw this on their guarantee: "If any puppy dies for any unknown reason, it must be frozen and sent back to us. Then it will be examined by [facility of breeder's choice] before a replacement can be made." anyone think freezing and shipping a puppy's dead body back to the breeder's for an autopsy BEFORE any sort of replacement guarantee may be enforced is a little.... disturbing?? |
Jesus christ. That's awful! Well I had to take a look...such bargin prices and then they want to add 7.25% for sales tax....what a great way to make a few more bucks...I would bet they don't turn in all sales to the state- what a shame- |

HMMMM How weird is this... Here in Pa. We have a place with almost the same name who deals with lots of breeds and is ALWAYS in trouble with sick dog issues and such. Also been known to go under diffeent names and areas on the net. Name the same location is PA..... do a google |
Well foks what did you learn? We see this type of post every so often. We talk about what is and is not covered and the dogs look skinny- or of poor quality. Someone who posted on the thread will state they want a puppy in a week or two. What do they do? they turn right around and buy a puppy from a place just like the one mentioned in this thread or someone worse. Come back to YT and then start to ask questions and complain about the bad breeder and the poor quality pup that they were sold. What do you think should be covered in a health gauantee and why? How much is this guarantee and quality of the dog worth to you and your pocket book? |

Health guarantees should be at least one year and cover genetic defects. I've seen puppies who have had three year guarantees because their breeders had so much pride in them. I've also seen lifetime guarantees against genetic defects, but I think that's a little too much to expect, IMO. I got a one year guarantee against genetic defects and a 30 day non-genetic health gurantee. I bought Stewie knowing full well that he had a dry skin problem - it was obvious. I was in love w/ him and chose to treat it. I paid $475 for him and his guarantee. No genetic defects here and he's over a year old. |
Those poor puppies. They all looked pretty sick, sad. I love the sales contract sold "As Is". Sounds like she's selling a used car. Seems like she has had legal problems before from her sales contract regarding litigation and slander. |
